Personally, I think it's Butts or Murray, not both. Then you have two more attacking talls in the backline next to them, players who go both ways.
There is room for both Murray & Butts/Keane against sides which have 2 genuine tall forwards... but Worrell gives us the option of being the 2nd tall if we feel we want to go smaller.

Does someone have the link where it talks about Dawson to the midfield being his idea?I tried to find it the other day, and couldn't.
I remember an interview where he said he and Nicks had discussed it as something they wanted to do. Then, before the Port game Dawson went to Nicks and said let’s do it now.
The idea that Nicks had to be convinced is just one of those things that everyone thinks happens - but it didn’t.

So Dawson a future coach of AFC...

That was this year, Nicks played Dawson in the midfield last year but he wasn't as influential as he is this year.

Dawson said a subsequent interview he trained less with the midfield this preseason than the previous year. Odd thing to do if that was Nicks plan all along.

Throw in the fact that Nicks had him playing in defence for the preseason and the first 2 games, it’s clear that’s where he was going to remain until Dawson told him to play him in the middle.

In an interview Dawson definitely said he trained less this year than last with the midfield group, it was not on the cards with the coaching staff.

In other news, Pilchard Adams runs to the defence of Matthew Nicks again. This time he tries humour which falls flat and is quite embarrassing.

The silliness of your post, if Nicks isn’t responsible for team selection who is?

Thoughts on a tall as the sub on the big expanse of Optus on a warm day?
This has nothing about me defending Nicks. I have openly said there are things he has done that I don't agree with.

This is about how you manage to turn everything into a dig against Nicks to support your agenda

"agenda"? How humorous. The very second he's gone, you'll support the decision without qualification.
