Dawson to me has looked pretty tired and not near as influential as he was earlier in the year.
Probably didn't train enough with the mids during pre season, it'd have put those extra ks in his legs

I think we're using next year as our transition year to being led by the kids. Lots of players coming off contract next year. Why bother offering Crouch a 1 year deal? Seems like you either build your next midfield around him and offer 2-3 on decent coin, or you decide to refresh and tell him to canvas other offers.
Haven't watched enough of him, ready next year, injuries aside ?Not quick but a really good step, he will be great as that hybrid type who will get a few clearances himself but also offer a lot in general play.
Rachele and Pedlar already getting CBAs.Dawson is the first selected in our inside midfield regardless what we do. That's not a negative either. Adelaides hopes in the near future hinges on it - though we do need to find a way to be able to rest him without compromising our entire midfield setup.
Letting Matt Crouch go means we're gambling on Sam Berry and Jake Soglio in 2024 as our replacement inside midifelder. No one else will have a shot at it on our list next year (though there are a few who could in 25--26), and with Schoenberg injured. Unless we draft a man-child inside midfielder who can get 4-5 clearances a game day one.

Brodie never misses an opportunity to take the piss out of Laird

Need them to get more than Sloane.
It's about bloody time! Just shift them all to the Sloane thread.Mod Note: That's enough thread derailing, off-topic discussion. This is the rumors thread, not the "who is or isn't a cheerleader" thread.

Yep I mentioned this last weekSydney apparently interested in Matt Crouch. We've only offered Crouch a one year deal, according to the article

No no and no jackster - sorry but he makes Parnell look like Gary ayresI could see us being interested in someone like Witherden, particularly with McPherson's career over, Hamill not far behind and Smith approaching the end.
How has he cost the lions goals when he plays for west coast??Witherden has been a very indecisive player who has cost west coast a number of goals this year by poor decision making when under pressure. He is not quick and his attack on the ball can be questionable
My bad arms for crowsHow has he cost the lions goals when he plays for west coast??
*Nevermind it got edited
He ain't the only WCE defender with that problem the way the ball was coming in in bunches...Witherden has been a very indecisive player who has cost west coast a number of goals this year by poor decision making when under pressure. He is not quick and his attack on the ball can be questionable
Don’t think he will on our radar at allWitherden has been a very indecisive player who has cost west coast a number of goals this year by poor decision making when under pressure. He is not quick and his attack on the ball can be questionable

lol even brodie said he's boycotting finals. Can't blame him.
If we don't offer matt croucha contract reid should be sacked. Nothing against sloane but imagine giving him a contract and not crouch.PLAYERCARDSTART5Matt Crouch

And Sydney list manager Kinnear Beatson and head recruiter Simon Dalrymple aren't mugs, they obviously see value in another inside mid ball magnet to feed it out to excellent outside users like Errol Gulden, Braeden Campbell and lately Tom Papley and company. Looks like with the possible departure of Matt Crouch Dawson will have to go back inside unless Sam Berry comes on in 2024 or they move Hugh Bond from defence to midfield?
Yet we retain a cooked Sloane...not good.
