His ability to handball the football in heavy traffic in a manner that perfectly releases a team mate into open space is league leading.. in fact I’d go as far as saying he’s the best at it that I’ve seen in 40 or more years of watching footy..

The thought of him doing those handballs out of heavy midfield traffic to release a Dawson or Rankine or Rachele or Pedlar would give opposition coaches nightmares..

Im not saying they are Oliver level Im saying that JHF and Ashcroft improved sides in their first year, much like how Reid will.

Possible. He won't star, but really he should hit a similar production level to the average Sloane performance + a bit of X-factor next year. It probably wouldn't be a move that pushes us heavily towards a contention window on its own - alongside Rachele/Soligo attaining more midfield time and Thilthorpe developing further though...

Burgess, at 191-194cm tall (depending on who you ask!), doesnt really replace himmelberg..

Burgess, I suspect, is being bought in to bolster the defence stocks and is also able to swing forward to help too..

We need Chol to replace Himmelberg as our 200cm ruck/forward type.. if we are to let the dragon go to GWS..

If we had Clayton Oliver on our list contracted for 7 more years and were in our premiership window, would you trade him for pick 9 and a 2024 first?

I think it's crazy to think that Melbourne would trade him, but his name is out there for some strange reason.

There's been rumours all year that Melbourne are desperate to do a deal for Pick 1, so if hypothetically the stars aligned I think that 9 and our 2024 first would be around the mark especially if Melbourne were wanting to flip 2 top 10 picks to West Coast for Pick 1.

Let's be honest though, the reality is that it's all just a massive pipe dream. Even if his name was out there, getting him to agreed to come to Adelaide would be next to impossible.
