Now trade period has opened thought it be worthwhile to have a thread dedicated to the actual trades that have moved beyond rumours and speculation.



Haven’t seen much of him but looks like a decent get for Port given their shit small forwards.

Port are making a similar but, in my view, riskier bet with Richards as we are with Peatling: that the small sample of 2024 form is a harbinger of better things to come for a mid-aged but inexperienced player.

Richards has played some very good games (here is his Wheelo profile) and will probably be an improvement on Evans, McEntee, Narkle et al – and possibly someone who can replace Rioli as he begins to be phased out of the side. Not sure he's raising the ceiling though.
