Lukosius would be an interesting pick up, but hard to see us offering what the SA clubs might and doubt we will get a Scrimshaw type deal.

Am curious long term on Lewis, but trading now would be a loss.

DGB its hard to see the turn around but if the club think it's there then again not much point trading at a low point.

We did have a good year on the injury front, next year may not be so kind.

Serong is an interesting one, would love to keep him but hard to see him get a game with TB and Battle joining in the off season, he would probably net us something decent too...wonder what the club has planned for him.

DGB only gets traded if he wants out, makes no sense to trade him when he has no trade value. Even though he seems a mile off AFL level atm he has shown traits for the level. He has no off field issues and is a good trainer, I'm willing to back him in to be solid contributor.

Isn't his contract up.

Yeah - just sack the senior coach and pay him out the $2m he is due for 2025 / 2026.

Clever. 🙄

Are you one of the club benefactors willing to shell out that coin?

Or - hold Petracca to the contract he signed for 7 years.

Or - trade him out for as much as you can.

Both better options.
Maybe Petracca is worth the 2 million, cash! Plus Mackay plus a pick? Carlton have loads of brown bags left over from earlier administrations!

Im sure Mark Duffield of SENWA has no vested interest in West Coast getting overs.
In the same article he says they will only need a late first or an early second for Liam Baker…when everyone else suggesting Baker will definitely be a first rounder

Put him forward, played all his younger footy as a forward. Can now read the play better, found his confidence and with a forward/playing coach in Gunston, could be a gap filler!

It’s been said before but pretty obvious isn’t it?

Our first round plus Ward.
We desperately need Barrass and Ward is very tradeable (but don’t tell that to the Eagles).
Losing Ward would effectively give the Weagles another 1st rounder in the trade. I would have thought that Hustwaite, Serong or Seamus Mitchell would be more likely a trade with our 1st rounder. Ward would be overs. I would prefer to keep Serong and HH myself.

It's hilarious seeing how the WA and SA journos act when players want out vs want in.

You'll no doubt see that a future 2nd or 3rd is perfectly equitable for Lokosius, a well rated 24 yo KPP.

To be fair, the vic journos suggesting Richmond will get about 5 first rounders for Bolton baker graham and Rioli are just as silly.

Is anyone else slightly nervous about going down this route again of trying to get a 28 year-old plus player and giving up
high picks, to try and plug an immediate hole vs. developing Blanck and other recent recruits instead?
Yes we do need urgently a tall key back but a 28 year old? Aim for a fresher/younger recruit for KPD instead even if takes longer for success?

Don't see how he gets a role in our forward line, unless there are a string of injuries.

Lewis, Chol, Dear, Gunston are all ahead as KPF and third talls. Plus Moore, MacDonald, Watson, Ginnivan and Breust are all taking up spots in the side.

If the Eagles ask for our 2nd rounder (28ish) as well as our 1st, would it be better for us to offer our 1st and future 1st for Barrass and there 2nd rounder this year? Our future 1st will hopefully be from 16 upwards and eagles 2nd rounder is at 21. All the talk is how even this draft is with talent so might have more chance at picking up a gun kid with a early 2nd this year then late 1st next year.

Not sure how you can post this, and then say Hustwaite - who has clearly been behind Ward (and Morrison and Maginess) for a spot in the midfield or periphery midfield role - shouldn't be traded as he is going to be a 200 gamer for us.
