How many Hailebury boys now? Macdonald, Scrim and Battle. Anyone else??

Beaumaris Sharks have 3. Mackenzie, Dear and Gunston.
The sharks have four. Scrimshaw.

Joined for less $ respect to Battle, tells you everything you need to know about his ambitions with us.
Also speaks volumes as to what an attractive destination we are, at the end of the day.

And we don't even offer plots of land! (to my knowledge)

Realism aside for one sec, if these two do fully end up at Hawthorn (and I'm not actually doubting it, just waiting til it's official), a flag next year is far from beyond the realms of possibility....

Surely you not paying $950,000 a year for battle

Even if we were - players will actually listen to our offers. You have had more swings and misses at big name targets than Glenn McGrath in his batting career.

Given that Battle has told St Kilda that he no longer wants to play for them, St Kilda has publicly acknowledged this, and Hawthorn has acknowledged that Battle wants to join Hawthorn from 2025 onwards, it would be like the Earth being hit by an asteroid for there to be a backflip on this right now.

Barrass joining Hawthorn is contingent on the Eagles and Hawthorn agreeing on a trade, but both clubs don't tend to muck around when it comes to trades.
And the fact Battle is almost locked in ensures if any trade negotiations is still to be had with Eagles, it would be fairly smooth. They know we have options and can walk away from ridiculous demands like our F1( if we win the flag) + pick 30 or even worse whatever the WA media is dreaming up as his value.

On the Barrass draft thread, Eagles fan value him well over Lukosious. I had them at similar value or Luko to be better.

Please god no McKay at the Hawks they are useless once the ball hits the ground, and have a turning circle that Outback Truckers would be proud of.

Was imagining ways for Trac to get out of demons if Blues are his target. Seems like his family are mad pies supporters, so he may have them top of his options.

No sure if there are 3 way trades for Hawks to be involved there. Other than Naicos don't think any of their players are potential targets

So are we going for the trifecta and trying to land Bailey Smith? He seems like much less of a need now given our teams development and the potential to move Weddle and others up the ground with Barrass and Battle coming in

How do we fit Perryman into the team? Given that these two guys are going to be starting and Lewis is a walk up start, which three players are going to get pushed out of the full strength team?

Gunston Frost McKenzie?
Lists win flags, not teams.

No, Smith has some things to deal with which has only Geelong as a suitor.

Late August 2023 this is frustrating news. Late August 2024 this is meh. Good lucky to Bailey - we genuinely have much less need for him now.

So now with Battle and Barrass shoring up our defense, its time to stick the Weddle in the Middle!

Back to back again, nice.
