What’s Dogs fans’ opinion of Macrae these days? Do they think he deserves to be in the 22 or that Bevo is doing the right thing, a la us with Crouch early last year?
I’d be leaning no (at any price), considering his lack of pace (our main midfield need), but do the positives of playing him outweigh that negative?

I don't agree with that. He'd be in that 12-23 range. Talking for 2025 versions of below players.
I'd have Dawson, Rankine, Rachele, Soligo, Michalanney, Murray, Thilthorpe, Walker, Pedlar, Crouch, Laird, Obrien and maybe Fogarty. Depends also if we get anyone else in like Petty or an actual midfielder.

I wonder if the Club felt Doedee was susceptible to ACL injuries .....in hindsight, an astute move to not offer a long contract

Is Harrison Petty returning to South Australia a forgone conclusion? Not according to Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph.
The Herald Sun reports that, though Adelaide will “launch a full-on assault” to try and pry Petty back to his native South Australia, the 24-year old could yet remain at the Demons.
It comes after Petty was strong linked with a move to the Crows last trade period — including being part of the Shane McAdam deal — before he remained at Melbourne.
Set to become a free agent in 2025, the Crows reportedly hope Melbourne will trade him this year in hopes of getting better compensated than if he were to depart the following.

Focus on bringing in uncontracted players like Phillipou, Hayward, Cumming.

Given the players they have, and we have, then that should be the case.
Yeah that’s in our favour, really depends on whether the money offer difference is enough for the Swans to not consider matching
They do have to stitch up Gulden and McDonald first as a priority

Yep, we are not going to be a serious contender in 2025. But the club will also want to stop a slide and protect the image of a successful rebuild when Tex finishes up.
We need to concentrate on free agents and trade for a mid or draft one. At this rate our draft pick is going to be a decent one.
