As for when tests should be scheduled: Brisbane the earlier the better. Much like Sydney. As for the rest: Boxing day is Melbourne's and let Adelaide and Perth fight out new years and 3rd/last test dependant on the series being contested

Adelaide tried to get the new years daytest from Sydney CA said no.....so to accommodate SA cricket CA gave the Adelaide test Early dec for the next 7 years during the holiday period....it works well

WA cricket after missing out on the last Ashes test against England due to Covid restrictions...(like it or not) has been given the first test for the next 3 years....India England next year and then NZ

QLD cricket is still sorting out what is going to happen with the Gabba...with the Olympics coming up will they have a new stadium at Victoria Park or redevelop the GABBA ..both QLD Cricket and the lions are wanting this to happen VIC park....and with the new govt ...we will see what happens

I don't remember the year, but there was a Brisbane ashes test where Australia needed just 4 wickets to win and the Poms had to somehow eek out a draw on the last day, but no play eventuated due to it pouring.

Because the ground is a dump that is unfit for professional cricketers in 2024 and should be torn down. It is now the 5th choice ground for cricket in Australia.
