Always good to find the positives. At least we don't get belted by 50 points every week.
We also dont have our first round pick contemplating in leaving in their first season at the club.
Clubs like Essendon who make heaps of money for the AFL are the reason why North are still around.
Juiced to the gills as well.At least we played with some passion and some sort of resemblance of a game plan under him
Boring FC under Rutten
Bit of both.So a coaching/game plan issue and not a talent one?
Or a slightly disgraced used polished golden turd... but it will be shiny Mythbusters proved you can actually do it.Adrian will win trade week again and you will probably have a shiny brand new coach again …
The same noble and altruistic Essendon. Is that the same Essendon that insisted North be left out of the VFL in 1897 because they didn't want local competition for players?
Don't like to say it but could the solution to both clubs woes be a merger? North Melbourne Bombers? Essendon could sure do with some Shinboner spirit to go with the undeserved arrogance and it would probably stop them from making the mistake of bringing Hird back. The same noble and altruistic Essendon.
Rather us fold then mergeDon't like to say it but could the solution to both clubs woes be a merger? North Melbourne Bombers? Essendon could sure do with some Shinboner spirit to go with the undeserved arrogance and it would probably stop them from making the mistake of bringing Hird back.
Probably a fate worse than death for North Melbourne though.

I am not trying to be opportunistic or unfair in my comments about Essendon. In fact my great uncle played for the Bombers in the late 1930's & early 1940's & so I do not have any hatred of the Essendon football club. However when I watch Essendon play, I do not see any players - apart from Sam Draper - who possess & display real hardness when competing. Moreover, I do not see any players who would make opposition players being worried about their physical well-being and/or presence. I really believe that the Bombers need to recruit and/or develop 2 or 3 hard nuts to play in the team ASAP. Finally - and I know some people may think that it is unrealistic - but I would make Sam Draper the captain from 2023 onwards as I think that he possesses all the right competitive juices to be a good captain compared to the current incumbent. To put my suggestion in context, I clearly recall when Carlton made a very young Stephen Kernahan captain in 1987 even though he had only played one season at Carlton in 1986 after giving come across from Glenelg at the end of 1985. Anyway, that would be my first step at getting the Bombers back on track. I will be interested to see what Essendon supporters think of my suggestions. Goodnight & good luck.
Saad was great last night....againWhy the Madblue
Saad was great last night....again
Thanks but Saad for meLooked nice and neat standing by himself in the back pocket receiving the ball from the kick in I’ll give him that.
He was no better than Hind, who had more of the ball, a much higher metres gained, less turnovers and more intercept possessions
It might not be Draper, but they need to move on from Heppell as soon as they can. Bring in a guy who might not be the most talented, but plays the way you'd expect of a skipper - hard and uncompromising.interesting suggestion, and change is definitely needed.
Kernahan was younger than Draper is now when appointed Blues skipper but was a more mature prospect having played more than 100 SANFL games and dismantled the Vics in 84.
Draper’s a fine prospect, really like his presence and physicality, but is he ready?
Correct. You can pull out whatever stats you like, Saad is a superior player. Thanks but Saad for me

“We don’t miss him. Hind is just as good”.
“He’s unaccountable and chases cheap kicks”.
“We reamed them (Carlton) getting that draft pick. Dodo is the king.”
Sad really. But fun to watch/listen to..
Thanks again for allowing us the pleasure of watching Adam unleash those withering bursts out of the backline. Really gets the crowd going..
And there it is.I’ve actually said none of that, Saad is a good player no doubt, he’s not that much better than Hind and as I pointed out, he wasn’t better than him at all on Friday night.
Have fun watching those withering bursts out of the backline though followed by a 50m dump kick to no one in particular
