Mate, if that wasn’t paid to a Collingwood player the fans would have started a riot. The most entitled club where fans think every free kick should go to them regardless.

not just those - we were 2 goals off winning 4 in a row and 1 from playing in 5 grannies in a row. the non-premiership years were still brutal on some fans' psyches!

How are people complaining this hard about the umpiring given how the rest of the game was adjudicated?
To say that this game was decided by the final three umpiring decisions (one a clear high free- people potting Nuke for his head being thrown back have never played a contact sport and should stick to sinking beers and thinking they could be heroes, another being a correctly adjudicated down the field free and the last being paid to a player that's copped more knocks to the head for free than any other this season) is piss poor.
GWS had the rub of the green in the first half massively, we had it in the last.
Don't want to lose by a goal like that? don't be within a kick in the last 30 seconds

How’s the Hawks campaigners coming out after the game trying to justify the umpiring? This is like Bruce Lehrmann suing for defamation after essentially getting away with it.

The Hawks people on here need to understand two things -
1 - most of the ‘melts’are by supporters from other sides - we’re just appalled an umpire can get sucked in so badly, and
2 - Yes, many bad decisions through the game - but only one when there was no time to respond to it.
It doesn’t mean the Hawks weren’t the deserving team - it DOES mean yet again, a dodgy umpire decision has ruined a great game - for the winners and losers.
Thats my view anyway.

So that was the only atrocious call? Did you watch the rest of the game with your eyes closed? As there were dubious calls and non calls throughout the match that benefitted both teams at various stages. The most egregious one was the “goal” that looked more like a point to Green, that wasn’t even reviewed.
