As a neutral, that game was rigged.

North fans should rightly feel aggrieved.

AFL desperately wants finals at the G in week one. Carlton their only hope.

And they are supposed to be contending? Could barely beat 17th.
Neither could last year's premiers........or were you 18th at the time?

Maybe, instead of framing it this way, you should give the club you support a little bit of credit.

Not sure why as we aint winning a thing.

Expanding the game into NRL territory is more of an AFL thing.

Think Vossy needs to go back to basics with the Cincotta tag. Was working really well when he just went to the oppositions most dangerous outside player (Merrett, Stewart, etc)

The last three weeks I feel like Whitfield, Dale and Sheezel were the obvious options and think all had influences running loose. To be fair today, they did lose some half backs and he was playing there for the first half. I would’ve preferred they still used him as a tagger and put someone else at half back like they did with Kennedy in the second half.

Umpire mess aside, good win for the Blues. North are slowly putting together a decent list and will be far more of a handful next season.

An inaccurate and less motivated North side probably get pumped by 60+ today, even more-so if the Blues were at 100%. Felt like the Blues didn't get the absolute best out of themselves and the competition is that tight that even North/West Coast/Richmond can be a competitive outfit on some days. Yet they still won.

West Coast were similar against the Lions last week. Found something extra to be competitive, North today against the Blues. The competition is going to be just as even next year with these lower teams starting to get things going.

Pleased with the effort against a good side. Lack of polish at times and coming out flat in the second half cost us. We are improving
Absolutely you are, and it's great to see.

I wasn't confident of winning this game against you guys and you showed why.

So who is doing the cheating exactly?

It seems like a pretty heavy accusation to make, particularly without expanding on it........
There’s clearly an agenda, a game Carlton should be winning is getting close (granted it’s due to the very accurate kicking of North, would love to see expected scores). A couple minute patch of free kicks to the Blues sorted it right out and put it beyond doubt.

As a neutral watcher, it destroyed a great game of footy. Umps wanted their time in the spotlight and they got it.

I'm going to go against the grain and say both frees were there. It sucks but they should be paid.

They shouldn't have paid the 50.
The 50m was tough, but it happens in loud games.
The roar of the largely Blues crowd was probably a good indicator that it was a Blues free. Trying to play on in those circumstances is always a risk. Reckon every side has been on the rough end of a few of those.

Wow.

There was one blatant HTB not paid 10m out from the Roos goal 2 minutes before.

There are different rules at different ends.
They were different circumstances.
I'm assuming that was the Curnow one where he had no prior and made a genuine attempt to kick. Pretty standard play on call that happens 100 times a game. Don't get fooled by the carry on from the commentators who never know the rules.
The North one (think it was LDU?) also had no prior, but it ended with a throw. It's not the same as a genuine attempt because it ended with a one handed disposal with an upward throwing motion.

I get that it looks bad, but they ARE different under the rules.
