On form & effort, Bonner & Mead would have to be the first ones out. Riley is a frustrating case, his best footy at the top level is definitely good enough, but some of his efforts were simply deplorable on Friday night.

I expected far more from Mead, at present, he looks like a player completely void of confidence & self belief. At times he actively removed himself from the general play where his positioning became totally irrelevant. I think there is a AFL standard player in there somewhere, but if he doesn’t believe in his own ability it will be a very short career.

Kidding ourselves if we think it'll be easy. Any win will be enough. Especially if we don't get Dixon and Marshall back.
A win is a win but expectations should be building within the group.
Richmond at the Gee should fire them up and they should have a huge amount of belief from the win on the weekend.

Without Lynch, I don't know if they have an avenue to goal.
We just need to keep Bolton quiet and watch out for Dusty turning up.
I'd be putting Drew on Bolton and throw young Bergman on Dusty and see how the rest plays out.

So Jonas out (suspended) and McKenzie potentially out (injured).
Dixon and Marshall still need another week out imo.

Clurey in?
Jones in?
Teakle in?

What options do we have left?

Assuming McKenzie and Boak come up, Dixon or Marshall for Burton to go back. Our “talls” become Aliir, McKenzie and Burton (short back line)

Rioli to replace Evans.

If both Dixon and Marshall are available, then very unfortunate for Lord.

If neither come up, then I don’t know.

I don't know why but for some reason i thought this game was at Marvel, the MCG makes this one tougher.

Surely if Mckenzie is out Jake Pasini finally debuts. could also see teakle play down back and stand Samson Ryan

We may have one or both of T Marshall and Dixon to bring in but it's hard to work out how many vacancies there will be. Jonas obviously. Boak unless he's got Wolverine-like recovery capacities.
So based on AFL experience and recent SANFL form Clurey would have to be in for Jonas. Then we'd need one more spot. No-one obviously out on form to me. There's always a weak link but no-one had a stinker v Naarm so someone will be unlucky.
If more spots are available Visenti and Johnson are reasonable options for debuting from the SANFL depending on structural need. I agree with Ford Fairlane (and probably others) that it would be interesting to see Visenti ruck in the AFL. The question is whether the coaching panel see it that way or would decide to continue developing Teakle (or Treacle if you're Brian Taylor).

Bring back my buddy Timid Tom Clurey!!

Seriously with Jonas confirmed out and McKenzie looking beat up Clurey has to come in.
Would start him on Riewoldt. Need to keep Allir freed up as much as possible.

Has Bonner ever been more than a depth player? He can be harmlessly added or dropped as needed. I'd go on but it's the wrong thread for that.

Why are people wanting Marshall to have 1 more week off? By Sunday he would have had half a month off.
He's had 2 concussions in what 5 weeks?
The data cant be more clear

Concussions close together is terrible for the ongoing health of the player. Give him another week, let him have every opportunity to get back to himself.
