Time will tell regarding Narkle, he might work as a sub though.
Did you watch his 2 SANFL games?
I don't disagree with their overall post but Narkle looks to be way fitter than anytime he was at Geelong. Body comp has changed. In his two games at SANFL he has also run out both games and taken over in the last quarter, which is something I can't say I remember from him at VFL level.

Hey guys,

Just as an FYI regarding our likely inclusions/one of our outs this week. May actually put up a challenge to the form team of the comp with these ins:

Those are all pretty solid ins, although what has happened to Guthrie? Seems to have vanished off the face of the earth since his minor injury a few months back?

There's still a chance for some classic selection night melts (a day early even), but Burton in and no Jonas is spot on what it should be. Honestly can't believe the change in selection policy after 10 years

Yeah as cats2021 said, got a turf toe injury that we thought was minor at first, but unfortunately just didn't heal up - and so had to go the surgery route to have a chance at returning this season.

Estimated return date is looking like a few weeks out from finals, but could be longer. Will definitely need a mini pre-season as well, so I'd say we won't see him until finals (if we make it).

He's old and is racking up soft tissue injuries. Calf is an old man's injury. It's a fair chance. If you're so easily offended by someone predicting a player getting injured, then maybe stay off oppo boards? 🤔

I've seen what you've posted prior to this - there was nothing innocent in your comment (you called him Clangerfield in the same sentence, while trying to get a rise), in response to what was little more than just passing on information regarding our matchup this week.

You are right though it is your board, and I quite honestly couldn't care less about your POV on us. But seriously, you had no reason to post the response you did, and it really was unnecessary when I was just providing you info.

Maybe try and engage better with oppo supporters in future, hey?

See ya.

It’s not like he wished him a season ended knee injury.

I’m confident (for a change) we will get up with extra speed and run

No but he looked great at VFL level for Geelong many times.

Sub could well be a good spot for him come finals. He could punish tired legs.

He seems like a lovely guy and he has some tricks. But his consistency and defensive application was an issue right from when he debuted until he was delisted. Hopefully he can fix that up and really make it. But we were waiting a long time and the history of players delisted by Geelong is not good.
Sounds like he has had a big wake up call re his fitness so maybe his endurance has changed. Time will tell.

To be fair Clangerfield is an old nickname used on this board since before he was even a Cat.

It's a bit childish but not a big deal.

They won last year's flag. No matter what we say they're a good side and "we have a long way to go to be like Geelong". They've been consistently up the top, they've brought in some great talent, and when they get it going they're still as good as anyone. Anyone writing off Geelong at this stage is doing so based on their own desire for them to be shit, not reality. Geelong have been written off year after year and keep finding a way to contend. We've had a good 10 weeks, certainly not enough to start becoming cocky and dismissive of last years premier, our 2 X QF wins against them mean nothing when they've played in 2 GFs and won 1 in that time and we didn't even make finals last year.

On current form, we should win. We've got firing talent all over the ground and our gameplan appears to be clicking. Geelong has also shown several times at AO that when a team that comes with manic pressure it can shell shock them and hopefully we'll be on our game and can do that. If we do get on top in the middle we should win, I'm most worried about how the Blicavs role, he's someone that causes us trouble. Then the other usual concern is our defence against their key forwards, they've always caused us difficulty and can't expect this week will be any different. Team defence will need to be on point.

We really need this one. This 10 game streak has not only changed the complexion of the year, but the whole trajectory of the club. With a chance now to really recreate some serious momentum and set ourselves up for a serious tilt in the back half after what is a seriously good length 16 day break. Hit that break at 12-2 and we've locked in top 8, plus may well end up sitting 4 games clear in the top 4. It seriously becomes about top 2 and nothing else.

Let's get it done!

I watched Geelong very closely with there last win over the Dogs.
They hung around like a bad smell most of the night and I thought any time now the Dogs will blow them away,it never happened.
I’d be very surprised if we lost to them this week.
The only thing going for them is our short turnaround.

I think you're right. Narkle gave an interview last week where he said something along the lines of "if I had my time again at Geelong I'd do it differently" when he was asked what he'd do he said something about professionalism etc. I think Narkle had similar issues to SPP, he's now about to become a father and is on his last chance with an 18 month contract - I'm not saying it will make him a better player but it has to make a difference in attitude and physicality through more diciplined training.

BLOODY WELL SAID

Our defense is our main weakness, undersized and flakey, prone to clangers when the heat is on, and I'm expecting it to cause us grief when it comes to the crunch...but I've been waiting for it to happen for weeks now and they continue to get the job done. Feel like Cameron, Hawkins and co. could give us plenty of trouble, hopefully our midfield can ensure the ball doesn't get down there too often.

BLOODY WELL SAID

Ah silly me for thinking this was genuine, I see now I'm just being trolled.

Good job kids. Won't bother sharing info with you guys in the future - as it's obviously a waste of time, and you can't seem to play nice with the other children in the playground.

I could troll back or say something about how good we are or how sh*t you are, but I honestly just find this behaviour sad.

Seriously, grow up.

See ya.
