Bring Burton in for him. Narkle for Sinn. Bonner sub again.

Yep, I will go along with most of that. I wonder how many of those that want Narkle as the sub have actually seen him play? Not sure about playing the same player as sub two weeks in a row though. May be better to give Bonner a run in the SANFL and use Mead or Evans as the sub.

How courageous it was for Jonesy to play though the end of that game with a broken jaw. Wasn't confirmed until the scan on Saturday morning but the pain and lack of alignment on his back teeth made it pretty obvious.

Outstanding courage and, as was said, a breakout game for him on Friday night in terms of his return back to the AFL.

Good news about there being no need for surgery but he will be sorely missed for the next month.

GEELONG captain Patrick Dangerfield is ready to return for Thursday night's clash against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval after recovering from a hamstring strain, while Mitch Duncan and Max Holmes are pressing to make the trip to South Australia.

lol.

Old mate complaining about opposition supporters not being aware of his team's injuries while showing his own lack of awareness of another team's injuries. Classic BigFootball.

I bet you haven’t looked at our injuries this year! You probably have no idea. Pretty much the last 4 weeks we have played with our second choice midfield contingent(vfl midfield) and have had around 9 out every week. Let’s see how port Adelaide go without:
Butters- (Dangerfield)
Rozzee-( Holmes)
Wines- ( guthrie)
Lycett and your other second choice ruck( Stanley and Shannon Neale)
Allir(Ratagolea)
Houston( Mitch Duncan)
Bergman- ( jack Bowes)
And jhye Clark whoever the like for like is. You blokes would have dropped a few with those injuries

I think this is a genuine 50-50 match!
Cry me a river!

This was Port's injury list up to the week before we played the Dogs...

Injury list

Travis Boak – ribs
Charlie Dixon – quad
Orazio Fantasia – quad
Todd Marshall – concussion
Tom Clurey – back
Xavier Duursma – knee
Mitch Georgiades – knee
Rioli – Suspension
Hugh Jackson – concussion
Brynn Teakle – foot

You didnt see us going whinging on oppo boards!

Bonner should never be sub; not an impact player and needs time to warm-up.
Horses for courses or rather for two gorillas, therefore I expect Burton & Jonas in for Jones and Sinn.

Depending on injuries we do not know about, Sparkle or Sinn to be the sub.

Burton.

Jonas is a bad habit.

* that annoys me. Jones looked in his element best game he's played. That's a month and a couple of weeks to find full fitness.

Fitness? You don't run on your jaw

This should be a ripping match! I can't wait for this one. I'm never confident heading to Adelaide Oval, but with the form your mob's in, I feel that you have to go in as hotter than warm favourites.

Hopefully the weather holds up. I don't think I've ever been to a wet game at AO. When the deck is dry, the game is usually great. Last year was a real hoot, with your boys almost stealing it.

May the best side win!

Also, hopefully if the 🤡 who attended last year who tried to box on with a bunch of Cats' supporters on the bridge, filtering into the casino, doesn't try those antics again!

Old mate was so close to counting teeth on the deck it wasn't funny!

Hopefully not. It isn't a good look when a teams fans fight amongst themselves while interstate.

We don't appreciate that sort of behaviour, thank you very much.

I can assure you, the instigator of said confrontation was wearing teal.

Alas, as someone who's lived in Adelaide for 18 years, I was very much a local (accompanied by, yes, interstaters).

However, I digress...

All clubs have their good and bad supporters, and I've always generally had good banter with both local clubs' supporter base over the years.

So, I expect nothing different (good banter) on Thursday night.
