Individually they are all good to very good players, one way yes, but still good players.

System was broken round 1. Pyke persisted with it and its failed again. 5 home losses, a diabolical game plan and structure, it has no fluency, is stop start and the transition into the forward 50 is the worst Ive seen at this club.

This is all on Pyke, he should be sacked but the weak as piss leadership we have at this club from Chapman to Fagan, to Roo to Burton will sit on their collective fat arses and do nothing like they've done throughout their tenure.

Yeah, you may be right. But honestly, right at this moment, I can only see us winning one game from the last five (vs. St Kilda - and we don't know the Ratten-effect yet). No way do we beat Carlton at the G or Dogs in Ballarat - on current form.

This will be another loss.
This team is done.

Finals hopes are likely to be done after losing many winnable games and losing our composure way too many times. If we beat Brisbane and West Coast earlier this season, we'd might be a more motivated team. They were the two defining games of the season for sure as much as you hate me for always mentioning those two games. But I'm never wrong. It is a hit or miss league and if you don't have the belief or composure that can be the difference.

I think we'll bounce back next week. We play much better on the road than at home. But the damage I think has been done.

Apart from tackling.

Sloane and BCrouch tackle stat looks nice. But how many of the 14 tackles between them actually stopped a player and created a turnover.

The rest of our midfield tackle "effort" was pathetic.


Lack of ability to tackle is why Port and Essendon feel they could cut through the arcs with ease.

It is why we lost both games, despite being in a decent at half time. It is how WCE beat us.

If I was coaching against us and down by a few goals I would instruct my mids to just attack the goal mouth from HB. Ran and carry and quick attacking handball, never backwards. Brush off any "tackle" and just keep the ball moving up the ground.

Our inability to tackle hard has been a issue for years. With other aspects of our game hiding it.

Now those apselcts are failing (the forward line in particular) and this fundamental flaw is being highlighted.
