McPherson? Stengle? McAsey? Focus on the positives and youth Nicks is promoting! Yes Mackay is in and Laird is very lucky, but this is the most debutants we have had in a season for a long time.
Hartigan X
Mackay X

And Murphy is only out because he got suspended. Wasn't our decision.

We're in a place where we need to get all our decisions right, not just some of them.

Poor bugger has a tough assignment either way, take your pick Jeremy McGovern or Jack Darling....

Oh definitely. I do really like that Fish is getting some tough assignments this early on in the piece.

Best way to learn after all.

Bringing back someone like Mackay is more of a negative than all of those positives combined.

Those positives are a given, we're in a rebuild. This flies smack bang in the face of said rebuild and doesn't offer any positive. It is the move of a football club who are panicking.

I think McAsey plays forward or on Allen.

One step forward, two steps back. We'll get there eventually, but make the whole thing take longer than it should. Mackay is average at best, not sure why you'd promote him in, if you want a runner grab Sholl in the side.

Not sure why Hartigan is still in with McAsey back, would guess that one of them spends a lot of time forward when Frampton is rucking. Crocker and Poholke weren't great, but certainly did nothing that was any worse than some others who continue to be selected.

Murphy would’ve been dropped regardless, don’t try to create a negative you know isn’t there, Stengle was always coming in this week after his reserves form.

I’ve said many times I don’t share the same sentiments on Kelly that others do, but yes Mackay and Hartigan shouldn’t be playing. I would have Sholl and Worrell in their places.

At the end of the season we will have exposed the majority of our youth on this list to a decent run of games for once, Mackay will retire, Atkins will be traded, more deadwood will get cleared out and we have an awesome draft hand.

I choose to focus on the positives with the Crows as otherwise 2020 will be an even more depressing year to live through.

i didnt think Poholke was our worst last week and to be replaced by Mackay is crazy. What are they thinking.
Is he our leading goal kicker over the last two games?

Yep, I think the balance looks a lot better if Hartigan is replaced with someone like Davis or Sholl, who actually give us flexibility. Hartigan is just one too many talls, but the Eagles do have a tall forward line so maybe that’s their rationale.

As I said above, I choose to look at the positives so I can keep my sanity this footy season.

There is absolutely no reason to think this

How is us recalling a player who will retire at the expense of a younger player during a rebuilding year a positive?

Why wouldn't you judge positive things as positives and negative things as negatives?

We can agree to disagree on Murphy.

Because I’m a positive person, is that a bad thing? I never said Mackay was a good selection but I’ll lose my mind if I worry about every single negative that pops up this footy season. There is enough other shit to worry about this year than Mackay getting another game.

Oh boy wowee. Did I read correctly. We’re sacrificing a vital development match of Poholke in order to give a useless waste of a match to Mackay?

Its the right decision to be fair.

If we win the next 12 games straight, we play finals.
