I remember reading Peter Criss' book where he was talking about an argument he had with Gene Simmons, where Simmons wanted KISS to be like this hibachi franchise in the US where everyone learns from the same school, they all make the food exactly the same way and learn the same tricks and it never deviated. Criss argued that it's rock 'n roll and you gotta go with the flow and change it up sometimes, where Gene wanted the perfect machine, which meant the same things were practiced and never changed and it rolled through every town the exact same way each time.

Don strikes me as the Gene type, which is why he's so hesitant to make any unforced changes, both at selection and during games. He wants a machine which rolls through every game, doing the same thing each time and doing it perfectly. Footy doesn't always work like that though when there's always someone there trying to throw a spanner in the works.

You do realise you just described Neil Craig, socks up trains the same way executes the same way get into a routine and you know what you are doing

Pyke is slightly different he obviously has ideas liek simpson had with teh eagles and they worked for simpson up until finals time.

But playing a super tall team can either destroy teams or there can be dissapointments, Smitha nd Slaone have let Pyke down but hey they need to work around that, I still think not getting gibbs willc ome back to bite

If Doedee was best available, why isn't he being suqeezed in. If Wigg was best available, why is he going to drop off our list without an AFL game?

There's a clear disconnect between list management and selection. They've always said that the coach doesn't get involved at the coalface of drafting and recruiting, but our experience shows that to be a ridiculous situation.

AFC facebook is full of quotes talking about Thommo being great backup for Sloane, and he's been in good form in the SANFL, and also that they want Knight and Thommo in and can't choose between them.

However how we have managed Lever and Milera does go against what you are saying, both played significant games early in their careers

Liptak never played in a premiership. Was a very good player though.

Stevo did as an up-and-comer, and later became one of our best ever players.

Well I have relistened.
Our club does need to listen to some of the external noise. A few questions illuded to our softness and not being tough.
They have dismissed this because we know what's going on internally. We are one of the top couple of sides for contested positions Bla Bla
How did that stack up in our woeful losses. ?
