Good point. Yes. Draper played predominantly forward. How are they playing their two rucks, is one resting up forward?
Probably gives Butts a reprieve.

Keays was used as a tagger for a while, then it just kind of stopped.Has Nicks ever run a tag?
If his hamstring gets upGood point. Yes. Draper played predominantly forward.

Curtin is not a KPD - needs to play the sweeper role. Either that or play him in the SANFL in the midfield / wing. I’m worried he’s gonna get the “spend a year learning how to defend” treatment. Then our coaches realise he’s an attacking player and we’ve just wasted a year of his career.
OK, Crouch copped a week. if not contested/overturned:
--- Dowling IN.
When Crouch returns, Smith OUT (after 6 poor games), Dowling retained.
Laird moved to HBF.
Also, McHenry OUT, to be replaced by anybody with a bigger body and even reasonable skills.
Could not be worse or have less impact than Ned.
Hell, if we have to, play a man short. Anything, but McHenry again.
It'd create space for our youth to be creative with and eliminate McHenry's mistakes and ineptitude.
No Ned at all.Ned needs to be the sub and bring in Pedlar
It will be Berry to come off the bench and play full minutes for Crouch.
Mark my words Crouch does have a place in the team, some of his work to feed that ball out to the distributors was elite v carlton.
Yeah, could be. The simpler option is usually the better one, right Occam?Ned needs to be the sub and bring in Pedlar.

I agree; your words marked . Just not this week if the one-game ban stands.Mark my words Crouch does have a place in the team, some of his work to feed that ball out to the distributors was elite v carlton.
If everyone is tagging everyone, isn't that just normal football again?Going to be an interesting battle of the coaches this weekend.
Listening to Buckley this morning, after Rozee and JHF tore Essendon a new one, against the Bulldogs they sent two of the younger lesser mids to close check Bont and Libba. Worked on Bont which bloody cost me a multi.
If they choose the same tactic, Rankine will cop one. Given lack of experience will be interesting to see how he handles it. Would the other go to Laird or Soligo?
How will be combat it? Merrett kills us every time, should we send some one to him in a similar role?
I'm thinking Berry for Crouch, Dowling as sub only changes unless an injury.
I don't really like the idea of debuting a kid as the sub though.I'm thinking Berry for Crouch, Dowling as sub only changes unless an injury.
completely agree. just what i am expecting as changes.I don't really like the idea of debuting a kid as the sub though.
Give him a full game, let him play in the middle a bit. If he's a midfielder, play him there.
Ned can be the sub, or left-right-out.
Ned has to go. He's a complete liability.
Because we flatly refuse to change our 26 man squad unless there's injuries. Especially after a win.How the hell are people saying make Ned the sub?
Did people not watch the game? It was the worst performance by a Crows player in ~20 years. Horrible, just horrible. He should never wear the guernsey again.
Berry could be a good option for someone to run with Merrett if we need to shut him down.Going to be an interesting battle of the coaches this weekend.

Berry for at least plan B or part of the game?Going to be an interesting battle of the coaches this weekend.

You have a good point on their forwards as they have only the 1 really big tall.My changes having settled down would be:
Out: Crouch, McHenry, Butts (if injured or potentially if not injured either - he was pretty average on Saturday)
In: Dowling, Peds (sub), Curtin (if Butts is out)
I feel bad for Peds - he’s punished because of Nix rd 1-4 s**t game plan. Give him a go with this game plan.
