Out:
-Walters. Absolutely cooked. It's actually an equal mix sad and embarrasing at this point.
-JOM. Slow as treacle and not suited to the modern AFL. We are already a slow team.
-Hughes. Lach72 would have enjoyed the classic Hughes mark, don't take the first option and wait for everyone to zone/man up.
-Emmett, just not sure if he is anything really. What does he do well, not much.
-Erasmus, don't think he has another position apart from inside mid unfortunately
-Amiss, unfortunately
-Young, unfortunately
In:
-Simpson
-Brodie
-Chapman
-Freddy
-Switta
-Voss
-Stanley
I feel Stanley needs another week at Peel. There is a case for 6-7 changes but I'll try to make it simple, there are too many classy young players sitting at Peel and all of the following have shown they are currently (maybe never will be or will be again) not at the level.
Walters (I'm sorry, I love you mate but we cant keep carrying you like this, we are playing down a man every game).
Ras
Hughes
JOM
When you add Amiss, that is 5 mandatory changes that have to be made then you can argue whether Emmett and Sturt deserve another go and whether Banfield is allowed to continue to keep hurting the team with soul sucking misses.
Chapman, Switta and Freddy are non-negotiable and if I see someone saying Chapman needs another week I will literally come and fight you. One or both of Stanley and Simpson need to come in. I dont care if it's Tabs or Voss.
Then JL is digging his own grave and 2024 will be his last season as head coach of an AFL team. You might as well go spare now, because JL will almost certainly not even contemplate it. He's the most conservative coach I have ever seen.
All these mass changes proposed ... I can't argue with them and agree. But you can bet your life that there will be the most minimal changes possible.
It will be Taberner for Amiss. Then if Switta and Freddy are fit, it will be Erasmus and one of Sturt or Emmett out. JOM back to sub.
The most adventurous JL will get is bringing Chapman in, but I won't be surprised if he is left in the WAFL for a few more weeks.
Stanley, Brodie, Simpson, Voss ... I reckon almost zero chance.
Structural:
Young - back to half back asap
Johnson - must get more inside midfield minutes urgently
Aish - back to wing / Worner down back
Fyfe - off the bench back half of quarters
Changes:
Chapman in - Hughes out
Brodie in - O’Meara out
Worner in - Walker out
Frederick in - Amiss out (concussion)
Switta in (if fit) - Erasmus out
Depends how you look at it.If Tabs comes in he’s got nfi.

Johnson was good! One of the few shining lights
Honestly with us starting Jackson in the ruck we may as well have played Tabs. At least we'd have been more dangerous in the first 10 minutesDepends how you look at it.
Tabs draws the best defender, which creates the domino effect for Treacy and Jackson
Voss won't, so Treacy or Jackson would attract the best defender
I want to see Voss get a crack, but I would understand if JL picks Tabs
No he wasn'tJohnson was good! One of the few shining lights
He did but his opponent won the money in the Russian Roulette.Fyfe tried

It's very tiring. Not sure it is sustainable. Especially with a young team. I can understand it in a way when you consider how our defense played without that sort of support. He doesn't know any other way. Watch it happen on Thursday. What will also happen is instead of trying to attack the Dogs, JL will be scared of losing a shootout, and will double down on his ultra defensive gameplan. Will aim to recreate the Crows/Port/Blues games and try to strangle a 70-60 type of victory.
I mean, with respect, that would actually be commonsense coaching. He doesn't know any other way. Watch it happen on Thursday. "tight" hamstring. They're hopeful it's nothing more than thatHaven't watched JLo's presser - any word on Young? Murmurs that he's done a hammy.

Why would we want a shootout minus Amiss? If Giants and Port coached accordingly, they wouldn't have been so easily scored against today
