Yeah, I find myself wondering why one of our hardest men at the contest is waiting up forward.

+1.

This could be one of the things that Ross is working out. I don't think he's as aware of the capabilities of some of our players as he will be in a month or two.

He still thinks of Crowley as our number one tagger. Still thinks of De Boer as a defensive forward. I genuinely think Crowley is interchange fodder or (preferably) depth waiting in the WAFL.

I just want him to give De Pig half a game on Brissies best mid. Then we'll see what kind of role he can find Crowley after that.

I don't rate Anthony and in this game effort alone is not enough to get a game. Hope Suban plays well or he will be the next to go.....

Lower missing out on the 25 is somewhat of a surprise.

Personally I'd have him in the 22 if Duffield/Mellington can't play ahead of Roberton/VB.

Yeah bit disappointed with Jack being omitted since he's a confidence player

The tall forward line is probably better suited to the SCG than Subi and Kepler played much better than Jack so it makes sense. Is a similar situation to Griffin where they're both mature bodies who expect to play but are fringe players when we're near full strength.

Yeah I just thought his application and effort was a 4 quarter effort and more consistent than Keps - I'd have at least given him more time to gel and show something

Can someone please enlighten me as to why Nick Lower isn't in our best 22, let alone our best 25? Not even named as an emergency!

He was a walk-in starter last year and I think one of our better players, surely you'd have him in ahead of a number of players (Pearce, Mellington, Mayne, maybe Duffield).

Jack hard done by being left out this week after the effort he's put in, but I think unfortuantely just too slow. And you can't really complain when you're replaced by someone like Mundy.

I think the balance of our team is still just a little off, with not enough hard-ball winners, and Lower is someone who can do that, who together with Mundy would allow Hill to play his natural outside game again and maybe find some confidence!

Don't even get me started on SCOS being left out. You would assume since he's named as an emergency that he's fit to play. Streaks ahead of what I've seen from Dawson so far..

Can someone please enlighten me as to whether banners is the same person getting his knickers in a knot about half the players on our list constantly?

Nope - someone else. That was banners first post :p Keep the tone down tho bro - lots of angst in these forums :p

Keep calm (carry on) ;)

Good decision imo, Keps may not clunk alot of marks, but neither can Anthony realy, at least Keps is a better shot at goal. The fact he was in our forwardline when it was effective against Geelong is another tick in his favour. Thank god we dropped one of them

Lower is a great player to have on our list, but currently I can't see him in our best 22. He's an older prototype of De boer (we only need the 1 tough player)... I think it's great Mellington is getting more games this year, Mayne- We need him if Anthonys not playing, Pearce- I think he has had two good games, plus I didnt realise how good a kick at goal he is. Duffield - He has to play, we need the experience. Finally, Silvagni- great player, but Ross prefers to have Dawson @ fb. I think our backline would be too tall.

Looks like Duffield and Mellington are being given every chance to prove they've fully recovered from their injuries.

Would imply they've solidified their positions in the first 22, or there's key match-ups in the Brisbane line-up that the coaches have pegged them for.
