Likewise, amazed Ticketek didn't do its usual thing at times of high demand.

High demand? I think Geelong fans are going to stay away as a principled protest about not playing game in Geelong, and not in no way due to the fact that there team is crap, old and slow, and a fair chance to be straight setted yet again.

I dont like being favourites.Scott would be rubbing his hands together over that.Hutch isnt fast enough or strong enough to tag Danger or smart enough to mark Ablett.Kelly it is!Rowan worries me as hes fast and a good grab;lets hope that hammy isnt good.Biclavs and Taylor are good in the air so we need to be smarter and use our gun little blokes more.Barass needs to be wary of Hawkins strength and nudges in the back. They may be slowing but the Cats finished top for a reason and we seem to struggle against them as i think they tend to bully us a bit.Glad its the "G" not Shithole Stadium.

Geelong are going to attempt to lock down and grind their way though this one. No way will be allowed the space that Essendon afforded us.

Heard a stat on SEN last week that in finals over the last three seasons, the 'magic number' that teams need to score to win is 85 points.

Funnily enough - our 2019 season average is 13 goals 9.7 behinds (87.7 points) from 50.7 inside 50s (we score going inside 50 every 2.23 times).

I reckon they will attempt to put massive clamps on JK/JD, I'd be ecstatic with another return of 6 goals between them but I can see this being a game where we get a combined return of 2-4 goals between them.

This means we need the bulk of our goals to come from our small blokes, with ideally a couple from the mids as well (some running bombs Boots and Yeo please). This is a massive area we can use to advantage over them: our forward half legspeed versus some ageing veterans.

Just get the ball in there enough times and let them do their work. Can't wait.
It will all depend if Taylor gets away with scragging/tackling JK while he's trying to mark the ball as usual or they pay some frees, my moneys on the former.

Roahn is an absolute spud I reckon.
Even more in big games.
Has a history of poor finals.

A lot of Sydney supporters were glad to get rid of him.

I think we overstate them a bit because like lots of teams, we struggle at GMHBA and they have handed us a few thrashings on that ground in recent times. Both teams have won their home games against the other team since 2013. I think these days, we play the G better than they do.

Rohan is s**t. He started the year on fire, then regressed to his mean, which is someone who runs fast, has not football IQ and close to the worst skills in the league.

I hope you’re right as I think Geelong will try the same blueprint as they used in Rd 6 ..

IF we get to the Granny it'd be Hickey 100th game

Hickey just seems like a genuine guy. Glad we have him on our list and in the dad club.

I saw footage of him during last weeks game when he chased his direct opponent and then he pulled up like strained a muscle or something? maybe he cramped up? Or maybe is carrying an injury nobody is aware of?

Cole looks to be the preferred option to replace Nelson.

Hutchings I'm not 100% on. Saad got off the chain and looked dangerous a few times in the EF. Enough to be at least a little concerned about

Yep

Couldn’t see JK which is normal

Hutchings trained mostly with the forwards so could possibly be on Stewart on Friday night (well that’s what I was thinking anyway)

Tom Stewart is an intercept defender who usually peels off to help his other defenders so we can't having him do whatever he wants. So I'm sure Adam Simpson would be aware of that. so its now a question of who we focus on more.

Tim Kelly? or Dangerfield?

History of those types of injuries. Not sure where the Geelong VFL side are at in terms of in form players but.

As a guess I think Constable would come in for Duncan.

With Duncan out for Friday, that weakens their midfield somewhat. But they still have Joel Selwood, Tim Kelly and Dangerfield as their key mids. We can't write off Geelong by any means, but with Nic in the side I think our chances are ok.

Its now a question of how we can split the a Geelong defense that is pretty strong. Taylor and Blicavs are both tall and mobile and Tom Stewart is pretty decent. With a bigger ground to work with, we can hopefully isolate their defenders. Harder to do that at GMHBA where the ground is the size of a fishbowl
