If McGovern is close then we have to play him. Need to go all-in for an elimination final. And I'm coming around to Jetta back in if fit too, just reckon we'll benefit from his class and experience.

In: Shuey, Redden, Cripps, Jetta, McGovern
Out: Foley, Ainsworth, Petruccelle, Rotham, Williams

Cole Barrass Sheppard
Hurn McGovern Schofield
Gaff Redden Duggan
Cripps Darling Ah Chee
Allen Kennedy Ryan
Naitanui Shuey Kelly
Sheed Waterman Jetta Nelson

I’m feeling optimistic

In: Shuey, Redden, Cripps, McGovern
Out: Petrucelle, Foley, Williams, Rotham

Jetta close - Waterman on notice but I do prefer he stays in the team.

Ainsworth stays as a tagging option - they may go for a finals hardened Hutchings instead but he seems to be made of glass this year.

Stay fit (lol) and we are nearing best 22. Let’s hope we have another 4 games to keep it together.
Yep. McGovern played in a grand final in worse shape than this

Shep Barrass Hurn

Nelson Gov Cole

Gaff Sheed Duggan

Cripps Darling Ryan

Allen Kennedy Jetta

Rucks: Nicnat Kelly Shuey

Int: Waterman Hutchings Redden Ahchee

I put Jetta in because we need good ball handlers in slippery conditions in Qld. We can see if he builds form.

OUT: Rotham, Williams, Foley, Ainsworth
IN: Cripps, Redden, Jetta, Shuey

Jetts to the backline with Duggo playing midfield.

How do you get rid of Ainsworth when Collingwood has so many players to be tagged?

Ainsworth only out if Hutchings not available.

Need one of Rotham or Williams. If one of our older guys goes down early, we are screwed. Rotham has been solid, and Williams goes ok.

He's either fit or he's not.

Oh please. They’re both good honest hard-working battlers. If one has more talent than the other it’s only an incremental difference.

Every premiership team in history has had good honest hard-working battlers among it. Jacob Townsend won a flag with Richmond and he’s about to be delisted by his third club. Hell, we were an Ashley Sampi free kick away from Travis Gaspar and Kasey Green being premiership players.

No one has 22 stars.
Had we won, remembering we lost by one kick, Kasey Green would have been a more than worthy premiership player. Some scribes nominated him as our best player that day.

I do not think Ainsworth is ready for finals yet.He will run out of gas quickly.

Winning or losing wont come down to whether we have a tagger. Didn't need one during our little win streak.

We have Jk JD Allen Natainui Waterman Schoey Barrass. Why do you feel we must have another tall? The other players coming in are more important than those 2.

Had we been playing the Bulldogs then I think Ainsworth on Caleb Daniel was a given, but I can’t see a matchup for him in the Pies’ lineup.

Out: Ainsworth, Williams, Petruccelle, Foley
In: Shuey, Redden, Cripps, Jetta

B: Sheppard, Schofield, Hurn
HB: Nelson, Barrass, Cole
C: Gaff, Kelly, Duggan
HF: Waterman, Darling, Cripps
F: Ryan, Kennedy, Ah Chee
R: Naitanui, Shuey, Sheed
I: Rotham, Allen, Redden, Jetta
E: Williams, Ainsworth, Petruccelle, O’Neill

I’d consider Williams in to help double team Grundy, but the NicNat/Allen combo worked well last time so no need to change anything.

Duggan to remain in the midfield, Cole to go back replacing Foley. Jetta to play forward to start, we can throw him back during the game if need be. But he’s in the side, you’ve convinced me it’s worth the risk.

There is absolutely no need for Ainsworth to play.

Redden tags if needed.
Agree totally he won't do Jack against a Sidebottom or Pendles in a big game. But if he does play it would be as a defensive forward which it looked like Simpson experimented with against North.

No need to play Gov all that will happen is a guaranteed hammy reoccurence no thanks. Keep him fresh for our 2nd final.

Barass to take Cox, Schofield takes Miochek, Sheppard De Goey, Cole Stephenson, Nelson Thomas, Rotham Elliot.

Redden Shuey Cripps for Ainsworth Williams Foley

I come in peace, sorry if this will be offensive to some given I’m a Richmond supporter.

I just wanted to say that it’s an absolute disgrace that you lot are forced to play west coast over there in what is meant to be a fair and equitable competition. Now I know that money and getting fans to the game is high priority for the AFL but it’s a sport after all and there should be some attempt at fairness. The fact that Collingwood haven’t had a home game all year and have to play a team who’s played half the year at their home deck...at their home for the final is wrong.

Those who will inevitably squeal “oh but they’ve earned the right and the grand final is played every year at the MCG” are completely missing the point. This is not any given year where teams like West Coast get a tremendous advantage during the home and away and then forfeit that for an MCG grand final disadvantage. It doesn’t all work out in the wash like every other year. This is a team who’s been completely disadvantaged during the home and away who will now be disadvantaged further in the finals.

Anyway, I’m sure it’s been discussed to death. I just wanted to show my support as a non Collingwood person that you’re not the only ones who think it’s garbage.

All the best. Genuinely hope you can get it done.

How rich, from a RICHmond supporter... short memory on 7 consecutive games at MCG leading up to 2019 GF, or the greatest advantageous differential in days played this year against opponents coming off shorter breaks.

On a different thread, saw a Richmond supporter claim they lost to Port Adelaide because were coming off a shorter break.

Then in another thread, another Richmond supporter claimed anyone talking about opponents having shorter breaks when facing them didn’t count.

What a nerve.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
