Found this an interesting stat regarding TB.

He is a great player and intercept mark, but he does get bags of goals kicked on him from time to time.

Also from intercept marks to kick, he can be very stop start and it usually results in a slow switch.

Compared to what we've seen Gov and Ginbey do in recent weeks, with the quick transition.

Yeah he's never been a fantastic 1 on 1 defender, he got some absolute pastings last year. Tex Walker put him to the sword twice off the top of my head.

His kicks are shocking compared to Gov and Ginbey, he kicks big loopy flourbags that have plenty of distance but also hang up in the air for an eternity, giving opposition more time to pick it off.

Has always struggled against players that are either quick on the lead (Curnow, Walker) or particularly tall (King brothers, Daniher, Hipwood).

Does his best work in packs and when able to work off his opponent (but has never been as good as Gov doing that).

I thought Phil said offers had been increasing for Barrass?

If we’re still going to be disappointed the initial offers must have been taking the absolute piss!

Multiple clubs in Vic are interested but at this stage he seems set on the Hawks.

Whilst I won’t mind trading TB due to everything that has been highlighted, we do hold the upper hand and we need to be suitably satisfied in a trade.

We only have to think back to Geelong reaming us in the TK trade - he was homesick with 2 children with special needs and they wouldn’t budge on a trade. He stayed an extra year.

TK was a pro and stayed for that year and didn’t spit the dummy, and I’m sure TB will do the same if it came to it.

At the end of the day, Hawks will have to pony up what is fair, and it won’t be a matter of “sorry we only have pick 15” as that won’t cut it. They’ll have to manufacture what we want provided it’s fair value.

After all their coach flew over during the season from Tassie straight after a game to speak with a contracted Barrass who was concussed so he’s got to be worth it!

In the last few pages we've had slander of Will Schofield & Dom Sheed. Two iconic performances in the 2018 premiership. Might be time for a few people to pull their head in. 2018 justifies the last 5 years of mess.

Agreed. 2018 was unforgettable and something a lot of AFL fans can only ever dream of experiencing.

What we're going through right now is nothing compared to some fanbases.

St. Kilda are fast approaching 60 years without a flag, Sydney went 72 years.

TBs media mouth piece.

All 3 will work together to get the best outcome but Hawks knew when coming for TB they will have to pay the price.

Just listen to Gettable, long term contracts means the club has the leverage.

Also mentioned how other clubs ain’t happy the Tigers get all 3 kids playing for them this week.
The obvious bottom line with Barrass is if the Eagles aren’t happy with the trade compensation they don’t do the trade and Barrass stays. No idea what Will Schofield could be talking about.

That may not be the best thing for either party but we would be mugs to allow ourselves to be low balled.

We've won a 2 Grand Finals with two completely different teams since Essendon last won a final.

Edit: also lost two GF's with almost two completely different teams

...and won two spoons in between- with completely different teams. We have ridden a rollercoaster and those mugs have ridden a submarine.

Lol Will Schofield says WC have no upper hand with Barrass... Being contracted for 3 years , WC 100% have the upper hand.
just watched that. saying we have no leverage and the fans will be disappointed because we wont get any picks and then the next second saying we might get bolton for him in a 3 way trade??? CTE-tier from schoey.

From memory you had some pretty good insights last year on Harley. Anything else juicy for us this year?

Little tidbits but it's fairly early still to get any real info. Last year was really full on with news because of Harley and us having pick 1 and all the trade speculation. I expect it will be a much quieter time this year but I'll prod for info when something gets my interest and share what I can.

Oh what a load of absolute BS, nothing justifies the last five years mess.

Its been nothing short of a cluster ***k of epic proportions, so spare us all slander and woe is me stuff.

Schofield, as in the W, variety has become a bitter twisted prick and his continued saltiness about being moved off the list has lingered way to long.

Always sad when someone has difficulty accepting that Father Time has caught up with them and their disposition is affected for the worse.

He is now coming across as a malcontent.

I used to like W Schofield, but with his newly found vindictive attitude, he has now become a pain in the arse.

Is getting reamed meaning we aren’t going to get hawks to overpay?

He is 29 soon. If he was 26, you would expect 2 first rounders.

Bottom line is whether we like it or not, we telegraphed that we aren’t desperate to keep him and hawks know that. We need picks.
They are going to pay him something near $1 million pa for five years.

They’re obviously putting a high value on him whatever his age is.

He’s a very valuable player, at the top of his game who will definitely make any team a stronger flag chance.

We would be desperate to keep him if we were a contender. Easily worth two first round picks as Hawthorn’s proposed remuneration shows.

That's very harsh. Schofield was instrumental in that flag and was one of the best on ground in the GF.

He's part of the media now and has lowered his colours a bit, but lets not forget that he was a great servant to the club.
Very tongue in cheek comment. I know he reads these threads
