Genuine stain on this toxic culture.

She is part of the boys club mentality that stinks at this club. She'll never make a hard call on Goodwin as she is just as part of the problem as he is.
Of course she wont sack him, would only highlight her incompetence when the board approved his new contract last year and she'd be out on her fat ass.

Our leadership at top level is so afraid to make decisions. It has seemed for years now we're too spooked at executive level to make a call on the coach, afraid of the ghosts of the dark period. Afraid a wrong call will send us spiralling down to basket case again. We've craved and built stability around Goodwin as the pillar for so long, that the board seem to think we'll collapse without him. We've now built toxic stability where we're backing in the wrong person because again, we're to scared to rip the Band-Aid off, that now both parties seem to rely on each other to keep each other in power at the club.

Good: Gawn, ANB, JVR, TMac, Kozzie, Tracs first QTR - he looked on

Bad: May looked slow and spent, clarry disposal, Viney lack of impact (seriously can't even execute a decent handball...) poor umpiring, us hitting the post repeatedly and pies slotting them from anywhere and everywhere...

Ugly: team selection. Billings, Laurie instead of woey and tholstrup? A bit of edge, speed and tackling would have been great. Trac getting injured.

I'm not going to lie, I actually didn't watch footy for a few years in that dark period. I'm thinking I might need a spell like that again soon.
I did watch a lot of us during those dark periods, I went to games and always found a reason that I was watching something with hope for the future. Might have been Tom Scully, Liam Jurrah, Jack Viney, Jesse Hogan, there was always something.

I have no hope for this current team, it’s real hard watching them.

We got Petty, Sparrow, Laurie and Fullerton coming through. Exciting group of youth for the future.

Embarrassing the fact we are gifting games to spuds like Petty and Billings and horribly out of form players like Chandler. Shows how bare the cupboard is though when next cab off is Laurie.

Playing with Petty has literally been like playing one man short in the forward line for weeks, makes it so easy for opposition to intercept mark and/or rebound out it’s embarrassing.

I just don’t understand how he stays in when players like Ben Brown get dropped immediately despite at least being able to compete/kick goals.

Including 2007-2017. And it's not close.
2012-13 there was a bit of a macabre fascination with how bad we were.

Current Melbourne is just infuriating to watch. Watching some of the best Melbourne players I've seen in my lifetime wasting their careers. Sucking the fun out of everything I love about the game.

It's making me less interested in football as a sport.

Honestly thought we were going to fold for a little bit.

Couldn't care less about this to be honest.
If they players wanted to make a statement they could beat his arse in on the scoreboard.
Not shaking hand... that's theatrics. Concentrate on the game.

Watch the whole rant. The hand shaking stuff is a tiny part of it, it's more about our lack of intent, pressure and ability to handle any physical stuff today. That part is spot on.
