Jackson was good in patches last night. I don’t buy the ‘he’s checked out’ business. He wasn’t tearing up every game last year as second ruck.

He’s competing and importantly took some grabs last night. We need him to be an aerial threat over the next month because Ben Brown isn’t providing it and TMac isn’t there.

Went to Brown about 30 times and he took two marks and didn't knock a single bloke off his feet all game. Sure he's playing a role he's not suited to but that's not going to change. ****ing sick of him.

How bad was Mclachlan's commentary? Immediately started whinging on behalf of Carlton supporters rather than celebrating the moment. That's twice we've gotten stuck with his boring voice in the TV calls in two incredible moments over the past couple of years.

Lewis Young looked like peak Scarlett last night. Brown gets so far under the ball, it's horrendous. Not sure what the answer is. Our strategy of weight of entries over quality entries just doesn't suit our personnel. Jackson also hasn't been a great aerial threat inside 50 lately. I don't think we make a drastic change this late in the year - though we should.

Carlton Supporters rightfully calling out when Saad was targetted at the game

Carlton Supporters being quiet as **** after racism directed at Ah chee during the week (Just because he happened to be the guy that got concussed by Cripps), and Kozzy last night online.

Call it out, even if it's one of your own, it's not acceptable. I would if it was us

Fugly is any low life that says that shit

It's hard to wrap your head around it. We all get emotional and irrational at times with this game. At the end of the day that's all it is a game, you really have to be a piece of excrement to resort to racism because you're team lost. I can't even imagine having a mindset to abuse a player on social media for just doing their job or even if they did something dirty. It's just a real low act.

Hamish was shocking last night. The camera is panning around to Dees fans rightfully going off their chops and he's waffling on for 30 seconds about how sad it is for poor wittle Carlton.

Like mate Melbourne had to win to have a chance at top 4 and possibly another premiership. Who cares about mid table Carlton missing the chance to make up the numbers.

Bring on paramount or ehoever else get the rights.

Seven are horrid. I'd literally load up on foxtel if they just had crowd noise as an option.

The 3AW call was pretty bad, only because he question Levers thinking about why he would go to the centre.

Absolute set play, and one that doesn't happen enough in tight games.

Far too many times, the trailing team bombs it down the line to "get it towards the goal".
But time and again we see the leading team just shut that shit down.

You just have to get it into free space and then take a chance. Kinda like keeping a full back at that point - he's an extra bloke to go for a sprint and try and get it through the centre, ala May.

Hopefully we see down the ground footage but I will put $100 on it being a set play or at minimum, a setup by the defenders "just in case"

Who cares if you lose by 2 points plus a last second cheap goal

Was absolutely a set play. He looked to the middle and intentionally kicked a snap.

I swear to god our worst periods of play this year have been when the other team has gotten on top and we endlessly kick long to Gawn from defence for what feels like an eternity as he drops it and we have no ability to win ground ball/pressure the ball carrier.

Happened in the last against the Blues and in the 2nd half against Cats as well.

Im sick of May wasting his kicking ability by dumping it long to the same spot every single time. Just coward shit.

This also happened against the Dogs in the 2nd half.

Also I think it's time to drop Spargo.

He had some real poor contests in the third, which isnt usually like him. Only 4 touches and 1 behind.

I know our forward line is cooked at the moment and a bit of a hellscape for smalls but he's just not doing enough for mine.

Give Harmes his role as a small if you must.

Speaking of weird forward line shit, Fritta had 4 touches 0 marks and 8 tackles lol.

Dumb thing is even if Gawn pulls down one of those marks he just holds up play, slowly walks back and sends another 50m ball down the line in the exact same fashion and says "mark that dogga". It's insane. You can't bank on 3 contested grabs down the line in a row against modern defences. Forgetting the fact one of those is probably going to have to be BBB dragging one down in a pack of 5 or 6 which is looking as likely as Jake Spencer finding his way back on our list after we send Jackson to Freo.

Honestly don't think Brown is even trying to mark anymore. Just trying to tap it do the advantage of our smalls which he's not good at either.
