News Jackson Hately requests trade to Adelaide

It's going to make some people uncomfortable if we go down that path. I think a lot of people have been used to us being 'the good guys' come trade time. 'A fair deal will be done' etc etc.

I'd be happy with a 4th rd to keep keep the peace, even though that's still a long way off his worth, and it would claw back a small portion of the embarrassment we've suffered with the Crouch situation. Just remember we lost Phil Davis to them, so it's not as if we're on an even keel.

If we went the PSD route, well..... wouldn't that be shocking, yet pleasantly surprising?

We should, I’d be shocked if we did that

But it’s embarrassing that our big bad move in trading is a softball, a gently thrown underarm.

Why can’t we put together some Machiavellian scheme? Where’s our Keyser Soze? We’ve just got a bunch of guys guarding the bees.

Can we trade psd pick 1 to GWS?

I don’t think so but FSM I wish we could

God, you've got to be one of the biggest club apologists on here.

Ricciuto could push you over and take a giant Rucci on your face and you'd thank him for it.

Fixed

I've just spent the afternoon putting together an IKEA table and chairs. I'm in no mood to give GWS ******* anything for Hately. Nine years ago, GWS poached our most promising young defender (Phil Davis). I say we give 'em the bird, and send Action Jackson to the PSD, and crack open a carton.

Amen

As long as we are talking to Jackson about the possibility of us doing that, and he's comfortable them I'm keen to try should it get that far.

Give them back Sam Jacobs' 4th rounder?

An emotion barely bestowed upon Crows fans...

Wouldn't mind us trading for Hately then taking Caldwell in the PSD if it came to that. Worse case is he sits out a year or we trade him after a year if he really hates it at Adelaide.

He was one of the First to request a move, everyone else the media have been all over re picks, but all we are hearing is crickets,
Could mean it just the details, or PSD,

We've offered low, needing a win. They told us to **** off and come back with something reasonable. We're waiting for them to come back to us, which they eventually will. Or we're trying to turn 9 into 14 and change. Who knows.

maybe so, but they have been very public with their dealings with Essendon and are playing hardball with Geelong but nothing at all about Hately

Maybe we're working behind the scenes to split picks or trade to satisfy them. So no need to posture publicly. Having been an agent, Reid has a harsish edge at the trade table. Looks like Kelly is the man now and he's appearing a bit more like Noble.

Crouch on 5aa said he would have gone through PSD if crows matched. Need to do it
Good god these footy players are lying flogs all along he’s wanting to stay now he hates our guts and can’t get out quick enough. Really we just need to treat them as commodities not humans but don’t say it ever. It’s pretty simple. Blow smoke up their arses and then drop em like a bag of spuds when required.
Every one of them is expendable and has a value that should be exploited.

So did St.Kilda sell him on their vision? Was he pissed that we never made an offer? Or did he want out the entire time?

Suppose we'll never know but would be curious what his reason was.
Possibly after the indiscretion the club made it overly clear to him they weren't happy with him and this was when all the "suiters" dropped off and his public tone toward the club seem to have changed, no longer "best" for the club......

I wonder if we could do a swap for Gallucci or somehow involve him in it. He has talent just no application. A new environment may be good for him.

Why would GWS have any interest in Gallucci with their stacked midfield? A new environment might be good for him - he does have the tools - but its not going to be GWS.

Brad continues to change his narrative

Its gone from wanting to stay as he loves the club, is settled in Adelaide and doesn't want to move to a big city

Then it was he needs a change and fresh start and wants AFC to be properly compensated

Now its I would have walked into PSD

All this in a matter of 2-3 weeks

Life his foot skills Brad is not that sharp

You don't talk bad about your work place until you've left. People will say anything to make them self look better.

Does any of that really seem strange when you follow the timeline?

- Player talks about being happy at the club and environment while he's still employed by the Crows.
- No offer comes from the Crows, gets caught with drugs and has an opposition team put forward the best deal he was offered - with the recent incident, word it like a fresh start from that but also as a player who has had lots of injuries.
- Deal gets done, he's a St.Kilda player, he's going to say he'd walk to the PSD regardless of whether it's true or not as it wouldn't be a great look going "well I would have stayed with the Crows if they matched but they didn't so I suppose I'll just tough it out at St.Kilda". Every chance that he was sold and would have done so, they've offered 5 years, finals football and I'm sure talked about how they'll get him playing better than he ever did at the Crows - he brought what they were selling.

None of it is really strange at all in my opinion.
