50 might seem worthless to us but is still better than most clubs 3rd or 4th pick so holds some value in the draft regardless of points.
Interesting that GWS are valuing Caldwell as a First Rounder.... I know that our hand is stronger than Essendon's but Hately may cost more than first anticipated.

Its a bit strange that GWS have dug in on Caldwell but appear ok to let Hately go. Both are in the same position being out of contract
Then we can directly compare that we swapped B.Crouch for Hately and see who won the in 4-5 years.
In all fairness we don't know if he was actually "bluffing", the power brokers might have changed their mind in the end and forced his hand, hence why the decision took so long.
