Kennedy has played a fair bit of U18s in the middle

Would rather we grab a pick 11-17 and take him with that

Have heard we are interested in Matt Thomas. What is his contract status? Could we take him in the PSD or would we have to trade for him? What would his trade value be?

Why does everything have to be a "steal" I'm sure a 3rd rounder would get it done, perhaps a 2nd if we are lucky :)

Kennedy is a gem. I could see him becoming a Boomer Harvey type. I feel with our first round pick, we'd be slightly overpaying, however if all our most wanteds are gone by then (Toumpas, Wines, O'Rourke, Mayes) then I'd definitely grab him.

I still want Stringer as my first choice, but he's definitely the draft slider. Hopefully of Jack Darling-like proportions. Mayes is my next choice (considering we have no shot at Toumpas).

Would anyone consider Toumpas worth two 1st round picks?
Ie if we get pick 6 for finishing and say a mid 1st round pick compo for Chappy. Trade the two for say pick 2 or 3 for Tompas?
Or would you prefer who we could get at pick 6 and say 15?

7 and 15

Would love to get a deal where we could get a 3-6 and a 16-20 though

If it was a uncomprimised draft and we were getting a Whitfield, O'Meara, Viney, Daniher than i would consider it

6 & 15 for me.

Youd have to expect a LATE first rounder for him!
Look at his age, first picked at, how many games he has played for us, unfortuantly in the starting 22 easily for us, the money he would be on etc etc etc.

Half-eaten sandwich.

You should be hoping you don't get him. Poor man's Jake King.

A young kid rehabilitating from a freak injury...."Welcome to Port Adelaide Lachie. My name's Peter Rohde. I'd like you to meet Jackson Trengove, John Butcher and Ben Newton. They'll show you to the the medical room and we'll see you out on the track in 2015."

But he's an ELITE RUNNER. Surely that's worth a 5 year deal straight off the bat.

...after you have recovered from your bout of glandular fever.

The PAFC website has an article talking about Lachie Plowman (Defender, Calder Cannons) and his rehab from injury

http://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/6038/newsid/145393/default.aspx

Considering it talks only about him, I guess this might be a good indication that the club is very interested and letting supporters know he exists on our radar?

There have been a few of those articles about various players. I expect it is just a syndication of AFL articles leading up to the draft. Port's recruiters aren't going to be dropping hints about the players they are interested in.

looking at it, id expect us to loose our last two games, and WB could beat Brissy last round of the year.....
Giving
GWS Pick 1 (Whitfield)
GC pick 2 ( Grundy )
Melb Pick 3 (viney)
Melb pick 4 (???) (Traded for mini pick?) GWS may not want another mid?
Port Pick 5 ( Tompas??)

With Whitfield and Grundy looking to go in the top 3 and Viney f/s looking to be either pick 3 or 4, COULD we MAYBE still snare Tompas?

Viney won't go 3/4 unless GWS/GC bid on him, if they don't, Melbourne don't have to use any pick before their second rounder. Even if they activate the Scully compensation and we nominate Viney they don't need to use the compensation on the Father Son bid...

Yeah it's really annoying for us, as I very much doubt whether GC or GWS will bother bidding on Viney, as GWS will want Whitfield, and won't risk the Dees not countering the bid with their first pick. Similarly, I reckon GC want Grundy and won't be bothered putting a fake bid on Viney just to get Melbourne to use a pick. The only thing that may change this is if GC/GWS acquire a pick in the 6-15 range. Therefore making Melbourne take Viney with their first pick will mean other draft picks essentially 'slip down' a place in the draft, making their pick a little more valuable. But it's looking more like Melbourne will be able to take Viney with their second pick, hence we can only hope the Dees pass on Toumpas in favour of a KPP but I'm not sure if there are many that would be rated as a top 5 pick. Kinda comes down to that whole taking the best available vs what player a club needs.

And considering they have to SA lads in Trengove and Tapscott, there may be more incentive for the Dees to take Toumpas, in that they create a little SA community that will convince the others to stay at the Demons rather than return to SA. Quite a lot of hypothetical crap in my little rant, but I find it a bit interesting.

Chrizzt, you have to do some more research brother, GWS will take Grundy, who has been their other Ruckman.this year other than Giles? Gold Coast have Jager O'Merra already stitched up, Aswell as Harley Bennell, David Swallow works well outside, they are just as likely to bid on Viney as he would seriously compliment them well, they don't need a ruckman, so if GWS take Whitfield Toumpus may go at two. This is not Chad Wingard, Toumpus is big enough to play AFL tomorrow, has outstanding leadership qualities (not just captain because he was the best player) and has stood out at senior level already. We aren't a hope in hell in getting Jimmy.

Prrsonallt I think it will go

Grundy
Whitfield
Toumpus
Stringer
Western Bulldogs
Port Adelaide
