How much have you seen Garlett play RanginTeal?

He just fades in and out of the quarters (not the game itself) for my liking if we're going to use a top ten pick on him

If we're going to go after any quality youngster currently that currently aren't getting the exposure/gametime they require my first pick would be Koby Stevens. Outside mid currently being edged out by the likes of the selwoods, priddis and Kerr

A big fan of Gumbelton and would be seriously considdering throwing a bit to get him.

Thomas to Richmond could very well be on the cards, whispers around he is keen for a return to Victoria. Ild be looking to package him and our second rounder for possibly Gumbelton.
That isn't going to happen. Essendon will rate Gumbelton based on his huge upside should the injuries hold off.... Thomas and 2nd rounder wouldn't get close. Imagine us getting offered Thomas and a second rounder for Butcher.

Ild be shipping Chappy off to Richmond, Western Bulldogs or Carlton for a first rounder. Free agency may hurt us here though.
Yep - no club will give up a first rounder for a an unrestricted free agent - it makes no sense. Have to hpe we get decent compo for him based on AFL formula.

Dayle Garlett is my first priority in the draft if Toumpus has gone, however wouldn't be sadened if Mason Shaw was selected
I don't know either player, but reports like this: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...e-garlett-appeal/story-e6frexx0-1226298620299 worry me.

Koby Stevens is an inside mid, not an outside mid. Bit of a moot point anyway. He'll have plenty of suitors in his home state of Victoria if he wants out. Can't see us getting him.

The richmond board are saying that matty thomas might be going to richmond as well as chaplin??

Any fact to the rumour???

Does Thomas need help packing his bags?

Dumb move by him though. Very few coaches in the league will tolerate his 15 ineffectual possession games like we have, especially when the Tigers already have a better version of Thomas in the push-up King. Then again, most of what he does on the field is a dumb move so why should off the field be any different?

Actually seen probably 15/18 games of Garlett, yes he fades out of quarters but always has the ability to do something at anystage of the game given half an opportunity. Much like Wingard was two years ago, Cyril prior to this year, we don't need a 40 possession winner we need class to take us from battling plodders to dangerous.and attacking.

Regarding the bad press, Darling had multiple bad wraps on him...

Shaw kicked multiple goals in one of the worst sided I've seen at the champs in 8 years.

Can he take Logan with him. If we can clear out Chaplin, Thomas and Logan in one go and as a bonus get pick(s) in return it'd be great. That's like the three amigo's of brain farts gone in one hit.

I can see a new coach retaining Thomas, but I can't see one retaining Logan (especially since he's apparently been dropped). That's why I hope these Thomas trade rumours are true moreso than worrying about Logan.

Not worth Towers unless with a late pick better younger prospects

Dunstand i would love to get with the second mini draft pick, loves training, co captain of the AIS team v New Zealand arse a U17, fair big lad already has played up throughout his junior career, would like to see him play some reserves (bit bias here he is one of my oldest mates)

Irra 100x yes, pick around the 40 mark take him, takes the game on has flair and is obviously a metamorph
I love Dunstan but he's not the footballer we need. Inside mid. Not the quickest. Kicking not elite. Champion kid though.

The bad behaviour reports about Garlett are tripe. It's just the WA media trying to get him to slide down the order like Darling did. They did the same with Franklin as well IIRC. I'm pretty sure there are a few others as well.

Gee they come up with some funny names for sporting teams nowdays.:p

Players I would like to see us target (who we could possibly realistically get). All are getting limited time at their current club..

Andy Otten - 194cm third tall who can rebound well. Has been down as he has recovered from his knee but will expect him to come good next year.

Levi Greenwood - Hard ball magnet with reasonable skills.

Lycett - Quality ruck prospect and our are all of a sudden looking thin.

Koby Stevens - Quality midfielder not getting much of a crack at WCE (similar to Ebert).

Gumbleton - So long as he doesn't cost too much he is a quality tall either forward or back who can add some options for us at each end.

There's no way Essendon are going to let Gumbleton go cheap. He's only now just starting to "come good" after years of injury.

We aint gonna get him.

otten, stevens will likely stay at their clubs or go back to vic.

essendon havent waited this long for gumbleton to come good to just let him go. would have to require gumbleton making a request to go home. could see freo chasing him as well.

Presuming Boak does leave, and I don't know anything about it so he may stay but I think you guys desperately need a good ruckman after watching over the past few weeks.

What do you think about Bellchambers being involved in a Boak deal, all hypothetical. He did just come of a 48 hitout 14 disposal game against Goldstein.

I officially hate this team....I just can't stand to watch them I hate 95% of them...

Everyone must go bar maybe 5 ....fire sale at port pre loved players all must go

(insert Nicholas cage lord of war scene after plane lands)

bellchambers would be rated as an ok ruckman, not a good ruckman.

while we dont even have an ok ruckman right now lobbe and renouf both had non-existant pre-seasons, and while we may need to find an upgrade on them depending on their ( and reddens) progress next year bellchambers isnt that much of an upgrade to make any price we would give up worth it.
