Exactly what I thought when I read that morons statement - he shouldn't be anywhere near a coaches box.

How about backing the young guys in - not making them second guess themselves.

It's a disgrace this imbecile is still our coach, how much more evidence do people need before they realise he can't coach?
I seriously just don’t get it im missing something

He cant even back in a debutant for 1-2 games with praise
I think his reputation for building strong relationships is a furphy

Surely even nicks can see that Dowling already offered more than McHenry and Murphy in just one game. If he cannot see that then he deserves what’s coming his way
He really is not that smart!

Let’s hold off on the rant to we see the team. If it’s poor then the rant can begin

It's the fact he is even thinking about having Billy as the sub is the problem - see Nicks quote when directly asked.

Did you miss the quote from Nicks when asked if Dowling will be sub?

His reply "It depends, there are so many what ifs up in the air".

Now if you were in Billys shoes and had finally got a crack after having to watch Ned, Murph, Smith etc spudding it up all season and you played pretty well.

Wouldn't you hope your coach backs you in?

Nicks could have said "we were really pleased with how Billy went in his first game, we'll be backing him in again this week".

I know this won’t happen but I’d really like to see Nick Murray play the role Borlase played last week. I recon we are missing a mobile athletic forward who can run, jump and crash a pack. Tex and Fogarty are not these players but I think they would improve if we had that type of forward to compliment them. This may also stop the glut of intercept marks in defence that have been consistently killing is all season.

IIRC Murray has played a forward role previously? Pinch hitting in the ruck too I think.

He can take a grab. Let’s do it
