Armfield has been really important

It was his clean usage, the shimmy across half back two week ago that started the chain of possessions that resulted in the winning goal

And today he was superb with three

Not to mention the two he gave off! His pace has and (never thought i would say this) decision making have been so important since his return. And the heard and soul he brings to the group is immeasurable

In recent years, in games like this, we would be heart broken now. Talking about "if onlys" and "should'ves".
When good sides came at us, there was always that feeling of dread and inevitability about the result.
We were challenged today, by in my opinion, the premiership favourites.
Under that sort of pressure, you have two options, you can fold or you can focus... We have learned to focus.

The booing of Henderson was very enjoyable. What a sweet victory.


The back 6 is so solid with doc and simmo, even plow is very smart with where he positions himself.


Best game I've seen Rowe and White play for us as well.

just got home from game. absolutely awesome. been a long time since i have seen us play such good "team" football. everybody played their role. as a group they are simply outworking their opposition. the run to support is enormous.

my highlights

krezuer as a pure ruckman. needs to ruck all day. that is his spot. like goldstein he is a ruckman.
docherty is the best hb in the league
cripps is a machine. actually gets better as game goes
bolton is getting the best out of role players like rowe, white, wright & everitt
gibbs is finally a genuine afl star. his toughness and workrate especially after murphy got inj was so impressive
gorringe did enough today to keep my hope for him alive

its nice to support a united club that plays for the jumper

Sorry, but I've never liked the booing of ex players. Different if a bloke commits some kind of cowardly hit on one of your players, then sure, go your hardest. But other than that, I'm not a fan.

What an incredible performance from the boys. Huge credit needs to be given to Rowe and White. IMO, White was BOG!

Disappointed with the crowd today, turn up Carlton members. How can you not want to see these boys give their all for the jumper? Incredibly proud of the boys, Gibbs played a huge game, as did Everitt, Kreuzer, Docherty, the list goes on!

Great win today. Gibbs has always had elite skills, now he has a tough backbone. Played with pure heart the last few weeks.

For me, Bolts has installed a toughness in the team that hasn't been seen in decades.
