There goes the chance at finals.
3 losses to pencil in for the last 3, we had to win this game and our next two to have a chance. 12.5 at best wins wont cut it.
Embarrassing, but not like we would do any damage.
This list still has holes everywhere and its doubtful we have the players to fill them even with growth.

Positives:

McKay and Ridley really good in defence
Shiel very good again
Marto's last quarter.
Never gave up on the game.

Negatives:

Transition defence. They kicked 3 goals from stoppage. Most of the rest were from poor transition from our front half.
Team selection.
Forward pressure was nonexistent.
Our bigs were very bad

The last 5 min just made it worse ... why weren't they trying to put that speed on the ball the whole game? Why isn't Hind in the first 22? Why isn't Martin playing in the forward line, he can push back from high half forward. The weather tonight was not the night to manage Laverde, even though I want him replaced by a taller player.

Essendon SHOULD have won that game if they weren't playing like arrogant tossers for half the night.

Scott has to take some responsibility for this result. "The process" needed to be adapted to the conditions tonight. We won enough of the ball and had as many dangerous players out there.

Guilt edge opportunity was thrown into the bin. There needs to be a public flogging at the hangar this week.

A great player but I'd love to know if we have ever won we he has had our highest disposals. Peeling off and kicking backwards to ridley as free man was never, never going to work against may, lever and mcviegh.
