Dog act but not a tactical strike
No way they would risk a long suspension to most important player just to take a player out of the game
Target was on his back. Not Stewart's assignment alone. Clearly saw his opportunity to cross him off. Instinct doesn't tell you to go out of your way to take someone out.

Lynch out bodied DeKoning in the contest

Which is horseshit because they penalised Lynch for doing what De Koning had been doing to gim all night without repercussions.

Shocking.
Brad Scott who is Chris Scott's brother.
No bias there.
Shocking's rule changes for years.
I bloody hate Geelong with a bloody passion.

Tarrant had his best game for the season. What are your talking about. Our midfield was buggared by the end of the game!
Taz was bloody immense, he kept Hawkins to 1 point, he of all people should be stupidly proud of his game.

Heartrate still near maximum. Awesome, awesome game.

A few concerning things - I'm not sure we can carry both MRJ and Clarke in the same forward line - while they both run hard, they are both still soft as butter, don't stick the hard tackles and too easily pushed around (having said that, I was extremely pleased it was MRJ taking that shot in the last 2 minutes instead of George :p ). Jack had a shocker, and is having a few too many of those type of games the last couple of years (still no worse than Hawkins today:cool:). Dusty is still only half-power,

Ross was very good. Baker - oh my lord, the boy is a champ. He should stay as a permanent mid. And someone should tell Pickett to trust his boot - he can roost the ball 50 metres, and he's a bloody good kick. He could have kicked 2-3 in that 3rd quarter. Nank played a 'last quarter Nank special' - but unfortunately Soldo's ruckwork wasn't good enough.

I actually think we lost it from our mistakes - we had 4 dropped marks - 3 in the first half and Jack's in the last (when we were out and moving). Add those two missed goals from Bolton and Lynch - I know the Cats had more scoring shots, but overall we kicked worse for goal.

I'm not going to complain about umpiring - that free that took away Jack's specky was no worse than the soft one Grimes got about 5 minutes earlier.
But I do think that last ball up call for the Dusty tackle would have been holding the ball any other time that wasn't in the last minute, 10 metres out from goal.

Not so much "tactical strike" but I'm certain they had a directive to go after us and be physical to shake us up after seeing other Cats try to rough our guys up high, Cameron trying to gouge etc. The game is already full of bad incidents that are entirely accidental, it doesn't need much to cross the line and worse things to happen.

Bullshit. Vlaustuin ducked it. About to be honest we lost it at the bounce by not hitting the ******* ball forward.

Spot on that's all we had to do lock it up forward. I haven't been impressed with Nank or Soldo last 4 weeks.

Watching it on TV and being able to rewind it, it's eye opening, the one where Nankervis got their ruckman high was a joke, he didn't have a hand on him and when the ump took the ball from Lynch and gave it to De Koning for a block, no where near it again. It's so blatant we have to not only beat the other team but the umpires as well.

Some of the frees we give away in the ruck are BS. When the ball geys bounced, sometimes it drifts towards Nank/Soldo and so they have to stand there. Prone. While the oppo ruck runs and jumps into them. They are getting penalised for protecring themselves and standing their ground.

Need to get rid of the bounce all together so that the throw ups are always consistently in the middle so neither ruckman has to stand his ground.

Do you seriously think the play shouldn't have been stopped when Prestia was knocked out and the play and ball was pretty much being kicked near him and Richmond effectively been a player down for 3 minutes?
There are moments in EVERY game EVERY game. And don’t worry had Geelong lost this you go to their boards and you have the same kids pulling up those Geelong moments. Too many children that lie about their alias age on these forums

******* bullshit is wasn’t deliberate
Not saying it wasn’t deliberate but more that it wasn’t something that was planned for Stewart to intentionally knock him out

I’m so proud of the boys But damn I’m flat as a pancake - can’t help but feel any chance we had is gone now

Really happy to see Ross and HRS stand up today

The AFL is an absolute joke trying to represent itself as a professional organisation.
They introduce bullshit rules that stops people watching the game but wont introduce a red card rule when a player blatantly takes another payer out of the game to disadvantage the opposition team.
The Prestia incident was similar to the Gaff Brayshaw incident and ultimately decided the game.
