How good is it when the umps don't actually ream us and reward our pressure and tackling? Makes SUCH a difference.

  • Can see why people at the club rated Campbell as a Baker/Cotch hybrid. Kid will be VERY good.
  • MJR best game for the club! Needs to kick through the ball when he is doing this kicks into the middle though Too much flight
  • Dow strong in the contest against larger, more experienced bodies.
  • Mansell best game for the club. Worked hard, pressured, kicked straight. THIS is what we want Cumbo to be.
  • Vlastuin best game since before the 2020 GF.
  • Dan Rioli influential. So clean and composed.
  • Tom Brown will be a very good player for us. Looked so composed today.
  • Sonsie did some nice things.
  • Pickett recovered from a poor first quarter and was terrific.
  • Baker just keeps being the Baker we know and love.

So much to like about today. Shame Lynch did a hammy. :(

Loved that game. Flossy was epic and he really won the game for us almost single handly with his intercept marking. M. Rioli had his best game for the club. He was everywhere and his pressure was inspirational. In fact, the small forwards pressure was what won us the game. The Swans get all their run off their half back line and our small forwards had them panicking and looking over their shoulders. It felt like 2017 all over again.

Love Lynch's game. Shame about his hammy but his marking and shots on goal demonstrates why he is our most important player.

D. Rioli turned back the clock too, and his run & carry and pressure was amazing. Dow and Taranto were sensational in the middle, winning the hard ball and cutting through the 'unbeaten' Swans zone like butter. Baker was amazing early - clean and furious. Bolton just class. Balta presented all day and was awesome around the contest. I just loved his determination and second efforts.

I thought we would roll over after the Swans got on a roll in the 2nd quarter but we showed resilience and then stood up again in the fourth quarter.

I think that's what I loved most about the win - it was driven by the kids.

Banks or Brown? Happy with both. Balta is staying forward. He had an almost day today - a bit like Shai v Blues. With Lynch's injury he will be required up there. Thought he competed very well in the air and on the ground and his relief ruck work was solid. Probably a chance for Kosi or Samson to come in for a few weeks if Lynch is injured.
Sampson for now...
Kozi just a bit uneven...

Very pleased to say that this win, was such a welcome surprise for an Easter Sunday that didn't promise much heading in. I'll have to watch the replay shortly to see exactly how good it was as I spent the second half battling illness due complications from surgery I had 6 weeks ago. Still I did manage to get back to see the final 5 minutes and what I witnessed was great to see, not only was it the experienced players stepping up, but also the kids stepped up and had important moments that helped secure the win. Shame it was soured by a late injury to Lynch who looks like he has a hammy.
All the best for a speedy recovery mate. That win is no doubt a good tonic for you 😊

Found out what happened to Juddy Clarke, has hurt his calf doing some extra training and will miss a couple of weeks as well.

For first time I could feel he was hurting the oppo when he got it , save for a few turnovers , the coaches have backed him to get it and go , shame he couldnt glove that last ball and slam it thru , he was knackered
Just needs confidence that he can perform at this level. Today was a positive step despite a couple of howlers

Also, EAD Bin Dixon. How can you not have Nick Vlastuin in the top 3 defenders of the round but give Chipscabs Daicos 3 votes and Nick Martin 1 vote for the golden fist?

Was that legit his best game ever for us? Sydney suffocated under his pressure. Was surreal to watch him.

Definitely booked his place in our side next week
Definitely his best for us
