Anyone saying JGTI had a good game are dreaming. Totally run off his feet by a five gamer in his first season. Only gets the ball if it comes to him. Couldnt keep up with a pregnant sow. Sick of all these list cloggers getting picked. Kmac three possessions after quarter time. Pickett constantly turning it over under no pressure, but we need to get him to 100games whilst setting poor standards for the whole team. Nankervis I already mentioned and Broads not far off them.
Kosi is suburban level and HRS intensity on a contest has as much of a 6w light bulb. We’ve gone back to 90’s with our low standards from the top down to the dunny cleaner. Nobody seems to give a damn anymore.

When Balta is back, he goes back, after today it is really obvious. Our tall backs were bullied by mobile strong forwards. Balta can compete with that, not so Miller and Young, has Young lost weight? Do we have a weights coach.

Lefau stays forward with Lynch (if and when).

We need to drop Kosi for Ryan. At least Ryan might be a chance to win a hit out and then go forward when we decide to lose some clearances with Nank in.
I said we needed to play Naismith or Ryan today because I felt we could have had an advantage in the Ruck with them only having Williams but the fact that Nankervis got 37 hitouts to 17 and we got comprehensively beaten in the middle shows just how bad he was today.

Pickett was just about worst on ground only to be pipped by McIntosh, I was so disappointed with Picketts game. 13 possessions with 3 turnovers, 2 of which resulted in direct goals in that second quarter, at least McIntosh didn't touch it after qtr time so if didnt hurt us.

I'd rather see Banks turn the ball over than those 2 spuds.

At this stage pumping games into the kids is going to benefit us far more than playing some of the older blokes and scraping an extra win or two.

McIntosh has to be the first to go. Make Pickett sub. Play Ralphsmith and Banks on each wing for the rest of the year.

Think Young was Waterman's initial matchup (which is why I'm more critical of Young than Miller), while Miller was on Darling.

We swapped those two around, but by that time, Waterman already had about 4, and Darling took a mark on Young fairly quickly after the swap.

You can be frustrated but it’s also a factor that needs to be taken into consideration

We use love traveling together on the road and we were one of the better travelling sides back in the day, no excuses really, we were very poor even though are undermanned I understand this, but we could still at least try lot better than what we did today.

How do you go from almost beating the Aints to that woeful display today. Basically the same team played minus Taranto and Ross. I do believe Taranto is an important player who gets maligned because of his disposal at times, his clearance work and tackling is better than most of our midfielders. Ross has had a good year too so we can't discount their absence but that still doesn't explain the difference in performance. One of my pet hates in Football and something I had become accustomed to during our inglorious years was long sequences of goals kicked against us, usually the result of opposition teams walking the ball out of the centre. Our team was not switched on mentally, I think some thought it was just going to happen after 4 quick 1st quarter goals. One thing I look for it intent and it can often be seen by how a team tackles, how many missed tackles was there today? How many times did opposition players walk through a number of our players with minimal pressure? Dusty Martin must have been injured, I refuse to believe that some of the non efforts were reflective of his attitude, if they were I'd be genuinely worried about his future at the club. Kozi is VFL at best, HRS will not make it and I had thought that out of McIntosh and Pickett, Pickett was superior. They are both sub-standard but Pickett's lackadaisical efforts and turnovers make him a greater liability. That really was a game where only a handful of players looked invested, I was considering flying over to watch that game, glad I didn't.

No he definitely has the talent and is a natural goal kicker. If the club is going to show him tough love then they better sign him up for next year. As it stands he has got more natural footballing ability than any of the other young guys coming through. Richmond will be their own worst enemy not persisting with Cumberland

But if you think about it, of the available mids that we play though centre bounces (so not counting Dusty or Shai), Taranto and Ross would probably be close to our two most experienced ones left, alongside Graham (who clearly still looks a little underdone)?

You also take into account that WCE have a top 3 midfield (if not the best midfield) by the numbers, up against a bunch of inconsistent, barely B grade midfielders, and I think the answer is clear, is it not?
