Not too concerned. Same game last year we were absolutely smashed.
The Premiership has heightened expectations.
Our Finals campaign last year proved no team needs to be the best week in, week out, just the best in September.

I thought we may have got over the line up until Astbury's shocking kick across defensive 50, ending in Walker's goal. That was a massive momentum killer for mine.

Not necessarily time for panic stations, but might need to consider that the (premiership) ruckman Griggs experiment has run its course. Caught other teams out and won us a flag, but in reality would not be a difficult tactic to be taken advantage of the other way as seen so far this year.

I know we don’t like to speak much of season 2016, but before injury, Hampson had found some somewhat decent form. He can easily account in the ruck as a chop out for Nank, plus with the flag-winning game plan, we only really need him bringing the ball to ground when resting forward as another target.

Caddy will be a huge loss next week

We are down on form. And the hawks will come hard at us

Yes caddy a massive loss.

Prestia in and a second tall.

(Really liked that we chucked Townsend around the ground more he will have to play caddy’s role next week)

Cotch obviously was not right after hospitalisation from a migraine

Vlastuin is two weeks away which means we will not make massive change to our back line which also means one or both of Conca and c Ellis will stay until Vlastuin and Broad are back

Which leaves mids and forwards if we are honest castagna was shocking and as great as he will be Bolton goes missing

I think the most likely ins are from Menadue Prestia Moore Higgins

Chol for caddy?

Higgins for castagna?

Lloyd for Bolton?

menadue for Macintosh ?

Player was concussed, any time that happens you're in trouble

Genuine accident though. Bit of common sense needs to come into it.

The melts on here when Conca is named again will be epic. Could continue for the rest of the year. I get this scary feeling he is seen like Starjumps Mortis... somehow gets a game every week. Maybe Dimma gets on forums and gets a giggle from the melts. Surely Miles/Lloyd come in.

Seriously Dimma, no more lasagna.

I should have increased my margin thanks to that
Simple fact was Adelaide had to win no matter what, as if it redeemed their not turning up in the GF. But look at what it cost them with their injuries

For us it was just round 2

Agree

(But I was hoping to go through the year undefeated)

Hawks won the flag in 2014 then in '15 went 4-4 failing to win consecutive games before moving in to gear and winning the flag, then they lost first game in '16 by 30pts (cats) and after an easy Eagles win at the G the following week followed it up with three 3 pt wins (dogs, saints, crows) followed by a 75pt smashing (gws) then got into gear and (nearly :) )won the flag.
Dimma wont be happy with the loss but he will be easing us into the first part of the season obviously wanting the 4 points,

Just watched the Caddy incident again, if he goes for that I’d be so sickened. Would be a flat out disgrace.

Doggies won the '16 flag Baz. But your point still stands well.

You seem confident mate but interested as to why? It'll be classified as reckless and the medical report will sink him for at least a week.
