I actually found Dimma's comments about Lamberts hip very concerning. They basically expected him to only play 2 weeks and he managed to play 4. Thats great, but if he has re-injured himself then that could be a debacle. His injury was originally possibly season/career ending. It seemed a very silly risk considering that we only played Hawthorn & Essendon - 2 teams we are well equipped to beat without him, you would think. No we are missing him against the Swans, a team where we could use him dearly

I'd go with Miller forward. Is in great form and marking everything. Time to be brave and try something new.
Wouldn't even hurt if Gibcus or even Tarrant was thrown forward if Miller is picked back. We are in good form, no need to be conservative.

I agree, but the AFL want a free wheeling non-contested chuck fest with no defensive intent, pretty much the bulldogs and bombers playing each other. 105-110, plenty of happy highlights and no need to worry about concussion as no one will get near each other.

Ryan is not AFL ready IMO, so I would lean towards the left field pick of Miller and give him a go up forward. His remit should be simple: Crash the packs, contest in the air, do not be outmarked and try and bring the ball to ground/in front of you.

Aarts is crap and not part of the AFL future, which is why he's a good sub.
Doesn't waste a kid who should be playing in the VFL by needed to hold them over to sit on the bench all game, and if Aarts misses both VFL and AFL games because he sat as the sub, who cares?

If he needs to come on and play a quarter or two in the AFL for injury, at least he has some pace and will crack in with fresh legs.

The sub is a shitty/tricky role to play and get right. That's why it's good to waste on someone that it doesn't matter if we stuff his development, because he's not part of the future anyway so it doesn't matter. What we'd hate to see is someone like Sonsie, or a developing kid sit as the AFL sub for 10 games a year, only to play 3 or 4 quarters of AFL footy and miss a handful of development VFL games in that time.

yep,netball,the rules were manipulated going ways back to the earlier part of the century to make it like NBA,but even NBA has a component of intimidation and physicality so they've ramped it these past 3 years up to make it become Netball

theres a clear agenda to emasculate the mens game and so far,this season especially & last theyre on track but thankfully theres an outcry,as rubbish as the womens product is it hasnt stopped those in charge in awarding more $$$$,which is just worthless plastic anyway and a slave tool,which adds to the illusion that theres hope here in the womens product,
we all know that its false hope,but it aint gonna stop those in charge
the only way to halt this derision of the mens game is too vote with ya feet and eyes and not give power to the programming,just turn it off and do something else with ya time and dont come back until at least a semblance of normality is restored
the irony of the mens game resembling netball and the womens game being touted as the having a future and becoming possibly of equal standard to the mens should not be lost in the haze
