Pilot Medical Update: Round 11, 2022

Get the latest Pilot Medical Update ahead of Friday night's Round 11 match against Sydney at the SCG.

Have they amputated Noah Balta's leg yet

Jake Aarts, Jack Ross, Matthew Parker - play roles we don't need as much

Wasn't that keen on Robbie Tarrant & Miller, would take 1 out of those 2 only probably
All were already contracted I believe, & Tarrant and Miller have both played games due to other injuries this year so it’s just robbing Peter to pay Paul
In Millers case you are sacrificing our future for a top up as well

out for 6 and can't walk, if you listen to those who guess and like to brag
out for 2 but we might give him 3 if you listen to the richmond medical staff :p
Yes it was mentioned by a poster on here he was using a zimmer frame and could hardly walk

The umpires are actively looking to pay free kicks against Richmond and our forwards nearly have to be molested to get a hint of a free kick.

The players cannot show dissent because heaven knows even a hint of it from a Richmond player and its 50 metres

So if this does not change I suggest the Richmond players show legal dissent, when there is a stoppage and our players are in possession of the ball

do not hand the ball back to the umpire just place it on the ground walk away and let them pick it up.

Pretty sure that’s a free kick in the Pussy Football League

Out for 4-6 was what was reported on the AFLs official injury report when it came out. So it was barely a guess, it was what was reported by the league itself

But yeah, you guys know best as you stalk around the players, watching for limps etc. The luxury of having spare time on your hands due to a total lack of meaningful lives to live

Truth is he is still out for at least 3 weeks, minimum. Its hardly something worth hanging your hat on. Its a pretty bad hamstring injury for a 22 year old

How good is D Rioli going!?
Not sure how we will kick a winning score without Lynch. Swans are a very attacking side.
yeah he is the best single AFLCA vote getter in history.

Poor ol Baker has gotten gotten 13 votes playing a similar role in just 2 games down there and getting about 1/10th of the acknowledgement for his performance.

If Rioli is worth $600k, then Baker is gonna be asking for $900k:joycat:

I agree with this - SCG is small and it will be a damp slippery night - lots of close in contests and sloppy balls kicked forward.
Not a good match for a big marking player like Tim Lunch, Jack much more suited IMO.

Bring in Cumberland & Stack I reckon and get a ground ball frenzy going on....
Although not a forward, Ralphsmith is first in this week to replace Lambert, but does Miller come in? Cumbo or Stack would be in the mix. Dow also. Interesting this week for ins and outs.

Graham will play the Lambo role.

I think the changes will be what quite a few have predicted, nothing too surprising. Both Pickett and Graham are best 22 and will be available so will come in. Lambert and Lynch out with Soldo/Nank but predominately Soldo playing more forward minutes. He will be asked to compete and not get out marked, Swans have plenty of interceptors who set them up well. Soldo although not a natural forward has at times this seasons crashed packs and shown he is capable of taking a strong mark.

I'll be surprised if we bring in another tall to replace Lynch, mainly because we don't really have any options. I can't see them swinging Gibcus forward or bringing Miller in (More likely than Gibcus forward IMO) but I think the coaches are happy with the balance and if there's ever a ground to have one less tall it's probably the SCG.

It's a big game if we manage a win it will give a lot of people belief that we can actually be a bit of a threat for the rest of the season. It will be tough but we took care of business with our last 4 and showed good consistency to win all 4 games. It puts us in a nice spot at 6-4 and even if we don't get up 6-5 isn't the end of the world. But 7-4 heading into the bye sure would be nice.

100%
I reckon Dan Rioli has been awesome this year but Liam Baker is on another level as a half back
He is elite at everything except for being tall but he plays tall

He’s a dead set jet

And we got him as rookie!!
Talk about winning

Weird melt

God I am so happy we beat Essendrugs. What an insipid team they are. I would be telling Heppel that he is the worst Captain in the league who was only ever relevant when we was rubbed out for cheating. I would also love to tell Andrew Mcgrath that karma is a bitch and that it is the reason he is a failure of a number 1 draft pick. He is the AFL equivalent of the government seizing a drug dealers' assets after they arrest them.

But in all seriousness, this fake tough team couldnt get over 10 goals in a game when we gave away 5 or 6 50m penalties. The Tigers would be 7th on their metres gained for the night. God I hope they don't ever amount to anything.

I was quietly impressed with the Boss on Saturday. Looked a lot more composed and confident than any other game I’ve seen him play.

Watching the replay.
The first goal was a coast-to-coast.
Spectacular mark by Jase C on the wing set up the goal.
