Dimma should pull the old Costanza and do the opposite of what he’s currently doing and see how that goes. Worked for George.
"The Opposite". Great episode.

Caddy Houli Grimes back in, some mix of Bolton/Ross/Naish also in for Cotch Martin Short and some mix of BEllis/Castagna/Butler/Markov maybe.

Like the idea of new guys intensity like Ross and Naish - Bolton is bigger and seemingly early has more confidence - coupled with Houli Caddy Grimes experience back in - we may surprise this week.

(Although not suggesting Cotch and Martin can be easily replaced by any stretch - but Martin and Short had struggled early, the other mentioned clearly are struggling - so it might not all be as bad as it looks)

On the other hand i could be being completely too “Mr Brightside” and desperately wanting to think on the positive side of things!

Throwing away all our depth basically gives up on this year before it started, we were never going to have zero I juries or players out of form. Other than Ellis, all the players we got rid of would perform better as a permanent midfielder this year than any of the draftees.
We didnt throw away our depth, they wanted to leave. Big distinction.

Great article by Peter Ryan in Theage today on the Tigers, good summary without the schadenfruede stinking out of articles by other hacks.

Especially like his point about whether our 'play happy/free' ethos survives if the losses continue to mount.

and Dimma's gall complaining about scragging given his own playing days.
The difference between that time and now is the players could settle this on the ground. Cant do that now.

B: Garthwaite - Astbury - Vlastuin
HB: Mcintosh - Grimes - Stack
W: Bellis - Prestia - HIggins
HF: Caddy - Balta - Rioli
F: Castagna - Lynch - Butler
Foll: Nank - Lambert - Edwards
INT: Ross, Graham, Naish, Markov

Thats if Broad is out.
When is Houli due back

Rance is our best defender in 40 years.
Grigg can retire at the year's end.
Perhaps even bring forward the Houli retirement.
Creating salary space is essential.
A key defender is the utmost priority.
Clarkson is ruthless in personnel, we must be ruthless too.
Clarkson traded Franklin at the very peak, they went on win two further flags.
Sydney will be paying $1.5 million per year for Franklin.
Clarkson didnt trade franklin at all. He left on his own volition.

A perma ban is probably a bit extreme, but I feel like it depends on the context.

e.g

If a poster (lets call him Shezza) starts posting his thoughts on a known injured player i.e Short injured his arm and "Shezza" says he thinks he will be out for 10 weeks even though we know its probably 5, not much we can do in that space as it is just an opinion being offered.

But if someone was to come out of the blue and say "player XX broke his ankle in 3 places at training today" and it turns out to be rubbish, thats a different story and would definitely be punishable.
How about campaigners who throw these out, and then the karma bus hits us later. That should be a perma ISP ban, so its lucky im not a mod or those campaigners would be ****ed.

Outs Martin short Cotchin Markov
Ins Ross grimes caddy Houli

Team would be

Grimes garthwaite Houli
Vlastuin astbury Ellis
Mcintosh Prestia Edwards
Rioli lynch castagna
Butler caddy Higgins
Nank Lambert Graham

Bench broad Balta Ross stack

Could probably see Naish coming in too as port are small and quick

Think Higgins needs to play more midfield. Has a great nouse around the ball and could impact greatly! #freethepig
