Nah actually I made that up lol.
rofl.gif But it's probably still true!!!
I listened to ABC Radio today, actually really good commentators for a change. Parkin, Nathan Burke and a young sounding guy. I didn't catch the younger guy's name but they made him do the votes. He wanted to go 3 to Cunnington, 2 Cotchin and 1 Cotchin so they both got 3 but they wouldn't let him so he went Caddy 1!!

Did what good teams do, stood up when challenged and secured the 4 points. Not our best performance of the season but you can't always win pretty sometimes you just need to grind out a win and bank the 4 points. What was pleasing was that even though Dusty was well held the midfield unit didn't really miss a beat. Lambert Caddy Graham Lloyd & Conca all helped fill the void, while Cotchin showed what real leaders do when their team needs them to step up. Whenever Cotchin was near a contest the worst result was only ever going to be a stoppage. Caddy and Lambert between them had 42 disposals 7 clearances 5 tackles and 7 goals, while Conca and Lloyd combined for 45 disposals 10 marks 10 tackles and 7 clearances. Once again our flexibility comes to the fore.

Down back, my god what a defensive unit. Rance obliterated Brown whose 4 shots on goal were lucky. Vlastuin is quickly becoming our version of Luke Hodge(better be careful comparing our players to guns), hard as a cats head in the contest and gives you so much confidence when he gets possession of the ball that something good is going to happen. Short is going nowhere now that he is established in the 22, Grimes Broad & Astbury are so dependable and Houli should be an AA HBF this year if his form continues.

Up forward the same concern continues to come up. The continual need to give the extra handball when in a goal kicking position is going to hurt us one day and it definitely cost us one goal today that would have seen us go in at half time with a 26 point lead instead of 20 points which probably robs the Roos of a little belief. Don't get me wrong I love the unselfishness in sharing the ball around, but just kick the goal especially when you're at the top of the square.

Next weeks changes.
Out: Higgins Butler
In: Stengle Prestia

B: Grimes Astbury Rance
HB Houli Broad Vlastuin
C: Lloyd Martin McIntosh
HF: Castagna Townsend Edwards
F: Riewoldt Caddy Stengle
R: Nankervis Cotchin Prestia
INT: Lambert Conca Short Graham

Suck shit Norf. Had everything go your way (Umps, accuracy, home ground, Tiger injuries etc). Enjoy your brave moral victory you minnows.

Cotchin with an outstanding Captains game. Vlastuin just a fantastically trustworthy player. Rance/Astbury/Grimes staunch as per usual. Winning without Dusty at the moment which is a huge credit to the other 21 players.

Huge test next week in WA, but by all reports Optus Stadium's oval is similar in size to the MCG? Suits our game plan greatly.

IN: Prestia, Grigg
OUT: Higgins and someone is probably going to be sore

Lloyd goes forward for Higgins with Grigg back on the wing, perhaps?

I see a lot of people mentioning Stengle, did he play well?

Much better win than last week. Seriously challenged by a hungry side and we had a few, especially up forward, down.
That ground suits them so much more than us.
Really proud of the fight we showed in the last quarter.

LOL at the Norfies...

Praising Jacobs for keeping Dusty quiet. Dusty has been quiet for a month now qnd is playing with hip and groin niggles. I suppose that is only one of few wins they had today, so need to hang their hat on something I guess.

And Big Boner Brown best set shot in the league? LOL PLEASE. Nothing on Goatsend.

Is Martin injured or not? If he is then get him right. We're been winning without him dominating anyway.

Got a hip and groin niggle. Been ongoing for a few weeks now.

Yes. Like I wrote before, Cunnington has recaptured career best form.
Macmillan is key running out of defence, and Hartung provides pace on the wing.
Atley has football smarts.
I am not confident to win next week, we needed to win today.
All the pressure will be on WC next week.
Security is an issue at Etihad, as was the case with Gawn.

Good luck next week boys and girls. If there's a few travelling Tigers this could be the biggest footy crowd ever in WA (need to beat 56.5k from the Derby).

Nothing like putting the two biggest clubs in the country on Sunday afternoon. Lots of people will miss it and then complain about the state of the game because they're not watching the best teams. Let's put on a show hey?
Great attitude. Thanks.
