Well a game that I enjoyed was ruined by the umpires. That non-call on the siren didn’t lose us the game, we lost that ourselves, Nank and Grimes get the bullshit Ill-discipline out if your game please? I’m pretty sure those two have given away more 50 metre penalties this year than Cotchin gave away in his 9 years as captain, and Cotchin I’m pretty sure gave away a few.

Having said all that, there was a bit to like tonight. Gibcus would have learnt a lot from Buddy tonight, Ralph-Smith was really good, still not sure about Ross, he had a good game last week from all accounts, but I didn’t see it this week.

The boys need to go away this week, think about their attitudes and come back ready for a hard second half of the year, thankfully it’s still up to them whether or not they make finals.
Ross plays like a fairy

He's never happy with it but it keeps continuing, sooner or later he has to draw a line in the sand and do something about it. It undoubtedly cost us the game tonight.

The other continuing issue is our atrocious skills at times, under 7's stuff which just kills momentum, that goal where Rioli slipped over after a couple of simple targets were missed was comical to say the least.

Thought the game was classic Richmond to be honest, play great football, get out to a winning lead and then invite the opposition back into the game with ill disciplined brain fades and sloppy skills, it's like it was scripted.
The game was a set up as a shootout. You blink, and you miss. Too many blinks after half time. Not enough faith in the surge game.
We don't get the rub when it comes to getting 50's. Without anger but a genuine sense of unfairness, my legs would not stop shaking for 10 minutes after the siren. That non decision however could not have resulted in a win.
Other Richmond undisciplined actions prior to this could have kept Sydney's score lower.

Please stop the nonsense as if he was any good he would have played on Franklin, but the coaching department give him the easiest tall forward to mask his weaknesses. As I said we will lose close games whilst Edwards, Tarrant and George are playing and I haven't been proven wrong yet.

You mean easy opponents like Peter Wright who he kept scoreless. Or McKay who kicked 1 goal..?? Tarrant is not a quick defender so why would he play on Buddy and not the opposition’s biggest contested marking player who is McDonald… the same McDonald who took 10 marks and kicked 3 goals last week against top-4 team the Blues.

If Tarrant can keep one the oppo’s key forward gorillas quiet then he’s done his job. He’s not there to rebound or create run etc… he’s there to play the Astbury role. If oppo doesn’t have a gorilla type forward to match up on I’m happy for Tarrant to play VFL.

Hear my words as stats mean nothing to me. The Essendon game suited the spud perfectly as if you'd watched the game carefully you would have realized Essendon's ball movement was as slow as your brain after a drink of lemonade. Go to bed as it's passed your bedtime and count this for a nice rest:

Tarrant Is Shit

Tom Hafey was once at Richmond and ended up in Collingwood
Barrassi went from Melbourne then to Carlton then to North.
Caracella went from Geelong to Richmond and now at Essendon , so he's always looking for a change of scenery.
Thousands of coaches and assistant's have changed their workplaces over the century of vfl/afl footy.

What's your problem junior?

You want him back at Richmond and talk like he was some sort of genius tactician. He’s at the Bombers who are playing some of the worst style of football I’ve seen in the last decade. (Rutten was also at the Tigers … so maybe these ‘genius’ assistants weren’t the real brains of Dimma’s coaching group after all..?)

It's not about individuals, BUT MORE ABOUT a successful FD. DO YOU GET IT Junior?

when rjk tiger is blaming umps you know we got reamed

The final call was bad, but the thing that makes it so bad is the way they tried to explain it & how unprofessional they looked. They umps tried to fudge through it & they looked & sounded ridiculous. It honestly looked like an actual farce had been busted

how stubborn is dimma thinking he can get an interstate win while putting a 9 gamer on the best forward to ever play the game

take gibcus off him in the 3rd and we win . waited until the late stages of the game when it was too late

hilarious

The number of goals a key defender’s direct opponent kicks means nothing to you. Ok, I didn’t quite get the logic previously but now I’ve got it. Sorry about that, I shouldn’t have jumped so quickly to my conclusions that stopping goals would be one of Tarrant’s KPI’s - I thought it would be number one, but you’ve obviously got some other KPI’s that trump stopping goals. Silly me.

reckon stevich doesnt want us to win 4 in 5 cos that would make us the greatest of all time and hes a hawks supporter who single handedly won a 3 peat for em

I honestly don’t recall Grimes ever playing on Buddy over his entire career. So it didn’t surprise me at all he didn’t start on him tonight.

Correct it's been rance mostly playing on Buddy, and if Balta wasn't injured he would've played on him, so it had to be grimes who has good closing speed plus strength one on one. This was your classic 8 point game, no time for being cute putting an 8 gamer on buddy.

As soon as dimma mentioned it pre-game, I was worried it was a bad match up knowing buddy would be too strong for gibcus and that's the way it panned out.

We know he's going to be a star and once he puts on more size and gains more experience in the coming years he will dominate for the next decade-plus, but playing him tonight on Budweiser was a massive mistake and this falls squarely on Dimma.

no use playing the blame, tough gig n all that but at least half the team made more than 1 blunder of a skill error or undisciplined act/s. we had em, we stuffed it up and the umps probably award that 50 to any other team cept us. we got similar mid year stings in our flag years so after the bye we reset and tweak a few things. buddy not only kicked 5....he split the middle will all of them. his team mates and umps looked after his no one would have stopped his michelle pfeiffer

Can you imagine playing the majority of the game and not getting even 1 kick.

Standards have to be set at the club surely he doesn't play next week. he has been quiet for most the season.. you just can't accept these performances.

can't blame tarrant ,, no way. Edwards was ok- but my usual complaint is that he is past it.

Gibcus played well, not all Buddy's goals was his fault, so can't blame Gibcus for that- Buddy had his kicking boots on today.

Our discipline sucks......how many times can i say it ? how many months can this keep going ? our soft give away frees are the worst in the comp, --Dimma needs to show some balls and call this. take the player off for a quarter and you'll see it will stop quick smart.

Our selection of players sucks.......Keep on playing George - and what is surprising that he has a fair amount of supporters in here. MY god he is bad.

How many times can a guy fumble?--------he has to hold the record for that in the AFL. The game has gone past him.

same with Ross, apart from his debut he has shown nothing, needs to be moved on.

Our match day coaching was average........Bolton and short should've gone middle to give us some run. We lost momentum and without run you cant get it back.....hence my comments on not playing too many aging stars and playing more kids.......
Out Ross, Edwards, Castagna (all forever) and Soldo and one other may be MCIntosh and may be one of the players who gave away a stupid 50 or downfield (Serial offenders Nankervis, Grimes, Vlastuin, Bolton, Rioli x 2) or how else do they get the message through. May be insert Cumberland??
In: Dow (was pretty good in 2’s), Pickett, Stack (based on past), Balta and Lynch (if OK)

Having stayed the things that won’t happen, Bolton must spend more time in the centre square as he is a clearance king and penetrates when he gets it.

The club should protest about the 50 not being paid at the end and why one umpire paid it and what gave that maggot stevic the right to overturn it and when the umpire says the player didn’t hear the siren we can give the afl 2 examples of us getting done for exactly the same thing when our players didn’t hear the whistle but you know the afl will come out and say it was correct decision this sport is the most corrupt sport in the world by the length of the Flemington straight you can’t possibly bet on any games when the umpires can decide a game or scores at different times of the game I would love to know if any punter had money on Sam Reid to kick first goal of the game after that rubbish free kick

Out george, ross
in inanimate carbon rod , anyone

why didn’t Cumberland cone on? I know he played reissues but

as for the match fixing well people will start to believe, the umpires are wired up, the afl app stopped counting the frees at 3/4 time. Prestia got 24 posies yet credited with the magic 25 which is a betting marker.
