This is what Essendon fans and their board seemed to forget. He had the best support money could buy with Bomber Thompson alongside him. He now has Mark Neeld.

What's the best Hird did without Bomber next to him? EF flogging in 2011 in a weak year for the comp.

What I don't get with Essendon is -
- 2013, played like a Premiership contender until round 15ish
- 2015, playing like a bottom 8 side (but for rounds 1-2).

Supplements benefit have worn off? Or Hird has lost the players?
