Round 13: Collingwood vs West Coast

I agree. All in all, collingwood copped the rough end of the stick throughout the day. But in the end the better team won the day so justice was served

Considering you won the game from a incorrect free, won the free kick count I take it your joking. All this against a side that's averaged 11 more frees a game.

I must be the only person that thought this game was ordinary for long periods, good contest no doubt. But wouldn't be ranking high on the spectacle list. Skill errors at times under no pressure in the first half were shocking, and if it had of been teams from further down the ladder, we would have been bagging them out on the main board. IMO we rank close games between top teams way too high.

Why would it when they've only played us here 4 times in 10 years.

Make the money they do and draw the crowds they do and it might happen more. Until then, suck it up. The AFL isn't interested in fairness, they're interested in money, and as long as the Pies exist and especially if they are travelling well, AFL are going to play their big games here.

Played at Subi 4 times in 10 years? Tell me how many times they've played at Kardinia Park in 10 years? That's football unfortunately.

Isn't that THE WHOLE POINT? It happened between #1 & #2 (though we're now 4th).

It was like that because of the contest. I love these lines about there being lots of mistakes under no pressure. You ask the players if there was no pressure. Both clubs had a lot of their best 22 out but all were trying their absolute best and refused to give up. Poor Mitch Brown who was in for Schofield's hammy and had no right to be there was working at his absolute limit (Collingwood got the good Brown - no doubt at all). This is exciting stuff.

Though it sounds like you'd prefer to watch Geelong, for example, smashing Gold Coast with scintillating domination.

Not at all, and I'm not into shoot out's either. Last night's game was far higher quality between Freo & Essendon but I'm not reading or hearing titanic struggles to describe it. IMO we as supporters and the media automatically describe close games between sides high on the ladder as great games, and that's bullshit.

Okay but higher quality doesn't equal excitement in my book. I always knew Freo were going to drop it after those last 2 goals of the 3rd quarter and would have been quite happy to turn it off then. But if that's what you like - good for you.

Dude, I agree with you wholeheartedly. It isn't fair and that's fine.

I was genuinely saying they don't have anything to fear not having played here all that much.
