Perhaps a fair few on here weren’t “desperate to melt over every single tiny bump in the road” as you say but rather could see the the wheels, doors, windows, bonnet all flying off.Well…sure.
You don’t get that sort of rope when you’ve presided over the worst era in club history. Our list has a hard ceiling on it due to the level of talent on the list, but this is as strong a Round 16 lineup as any club could hope to put out there.
If you’re going to back in the guy who has steered us into/hopefully through and out of the last few years, then the onus is on him to fix things. He can’t click his fingers and get Yeo or Kelly 30 touches, but fairly on unfairly given the amount of chances he’s had, we need to see a hell of a lot more than that.
Mids got a bath. That’ll happen sometimes. But that wasn’t the only issue today. We couldn’t transition the ball at all, we had no run and carry, it was just one of those days we’ve seen too often where it’s evident we’re miles off it right from the start. Midfield didn’t help, but there’s so much more to fix about today than that.
I’ve been possibly the most patient one on here with Simmo, laughing at the people desperate to melt over every single tiny bump in the road because they need a machine to rage against, but equally sometimes bad is just bad. Today was a mountain, not a mole hill.
Nice you got a laugh over the last 3 years but as you say, you can now see it’s actually a shite show so welcome to the party.
Anyhow u can get your hug from Simmo and you’ll be all good!
