17 at 70%, 1 goal, 4 score involvements, 7 tackles, 4 clearances and only 1 clanger and you want him dropped
Just another example of inexplicable animus against certain players. Houli is the other example. Can have a game where he's nearly best on ground, but if he stuffs one kick up that will be all some people notice.

As some people have noted: the ground did get dewy as the night progressed, the gold coast with a full list would be a handful so I' glad we took advantage of some key outs. But for them Hall, Saad had good ones. Rioli was on fire early, and I can't really fault anyone on our team. Soldo looked like he struggled against Witts a bit & him and Nank gave away quite a few frees. From up in the stands a lot of the frees looked soft & most of the time these days players are playing on instantly so the free kicks against aren't that critical. Soldo looked a bit unco at times but has been up against 3 good ruckmen in the last 3 weeks. I'd say leave him in.

CEllis pack mark & goal was impressive

Ellis and Grimes laid some big tackles/bumps. It was good to see Miles down at the bottom of the packs and George & Nank & Rioli & CEllis hit the scoreboard.

If JR & Prestia aren't ready, I'd be happy for that 22 to run out again next week. If they are ready, Broad & Bolton are in the firing line.

Dusty.

Such a gutsy win. Against the odds, a real danger game. I love the get the ball forwards at all costs. Kicks off the ground, in dustys case in mid air. Let the small forwards put pressure on and watch em cough it up. Fantastic!

Nank, amazing. Edwards I felt played well, and just added surety and class, congratulations Titch if you're reading this. Everyone contributed well.

Tormund, his marking is god sooooo good. Love when he goes up 3rd man.

Caddy and Grimesy smashing em physically. hahaha

Missed the game and watched the AFL highlights. Wtf? I don't think they showed any of our scores in the first quarter.

We should have a giantroo/navyblue95 equivalent who uploads every Richmond goal in YouTube highlight packages.

E: also no Ellis mark and goal smh

Had a quick look through the comments, you campaigners who want to drop Caddy are off your heads. I was at the game and his work around the ball is awesome. Big body B+ grader mids like him are critical to structure.

Pleased to see Sheds play well for his 200th, his handballng were awesome.

I enjoyed the game a lot.

Question: I have not seen the replay, was the umpiring as ******* as it seemed at the ground? It's hard to to tell if you are getting bent over without the benefit of TV replays

Was very impressed by Corey's mark and goal. I was like...where the heck did he come from????

Rioli brilliant in the 1st quarter, Nankervis brilliant in the 2nd quarter, Dusty good in the second half.
Western jets.

Hehe well...if Caddy was that great off the ball then ok...but on T.V. he looked shite.. no joke. Frustrating to watch. Anyway.....

Yep umpiring looked lopsided on TV. Also frustrating.

Completely agree RE: caddy. Was huge for us around the ground.

Bashed and crashed his way through multiple times to get us the ball and provided a good match up for us up forward.

I don't get the Caddy hate, I only watched on TV but you could see how important he was around the ball and how many contests he got to. I thought he was great and gave him a vote.
Yer did the job asked of him. Only 188 cm and was basically playing as a kpf so played his role as far as structure goes.
When we get our forward set up right ie 2 kpf his role will be different. One of the reasons he came over was to get more opportunities to play in the midfield but circumstances haven't allowed that this year

Those bashing caddy didn't see him live.
His presence , bash and crash around the stoppages and long searching leads were huge for us.

Thats why he won't get dropped but that doesn't mean he was good. He is important to our structures and set ups but he needs to be far better when he gets the ball. 12 possessions at below average efficiency is not good enough and if we are going to need more from him if we are going to go far in the finals.
