I love supporters like you. Must have done something right for dimma to praise him in the press conference.
"Even on tv you could tell his work rate was massive"
Remember saying that???
Did you watch it live or on TV?
Because I can promise you one thing, from a TV perspective his work rate did not look huge and nor did he exert any extra physicality bar 2 contests. It's like saying CEllis dominated in the air.
It's one or two instances blown out of proportion.
There are plenty of shots of players steaming fed where yo can clearly see Caddy sitting in the 50.
There are also plenty of instances where we are moving the ball out of the backline and would have used him as a release if he had been on these long searching leads. He wasn't there. Either off or in the 50.
This is all fine. I've admitted I was initially harsh. It's not his role and he didn't make a mess of it. I've admitted this. But huge? No. Great? No. He played his role. Did a few good things. Got spanked one on one.
Caddy was a dot ball.
Watched him v GWS (Caddy), I saw no evidence of long searching leads or elite work rate.
He spent most of his time deep forward and had most of the year, bar some short spurts on-ball.
I couldn't care what most think, my opinion of him has not changed one bit - he's still the same bare B-grader he was at GC and Geelong.
If he still played at Geelong and offered the same input and Richmond posters were asked for an opinion on him they would acknowledge thus.
He's just another guy who some posters like to think becomes a whole lot better when he dons the yellow and black.
Would have thought Daniher or Ben Brown or even Josh Kennedy could get the other KPF spot over Tom Lynch.
That's not true. He gave Arseberry a big shove in the back so I realised he was out there.cant believe lynch made it
he did nothing
I don't begrudge people who don't rate Caddy. I also don't begrudge people that do. I appreciate what he has bought to the team as a Utility player and a bigger bodied player around the contest. Though having said that I feel like sometimes he should play bigger. Body to body he gets worked off it and when that happens the oppo player is away as Caddy treads water for his first metre or so. Dusty also butchers the ball a bit and is about to win a Brownlow...nobody is perfect. I dont expect Caddy to be. Have not mentioned him once bar this game where frustration got the better of me. I re-watched the game and stand corrected. But am 100% calling BS on his workrate and physicality being called huge or great.

At one point the commentator calls him "putrid" lmao
My eyes were bleeding with so much rage I didn't see which Richmond player it was.it was nank that copped the in the back, youre thinking of when he gave astbury a clothesline in the goal square and got away with it
You know how it goes ... some take the whole 'support your club's players at all costs' to whole new level and can't see the flaws in their game, nor realise if you don't rectify said flaws you don't get better. There are a dozen or more players with a stronger work ethic and rate and do far more of the grunt work (not to say Caddy hasn't added to our team), but he has not been that great. There have been games where he should have been considered for demotion, but we know the club won't do that, but will readily dump a Short, a Lennon, a Miles and soon it will be Broad's turn.
Thats fair.
Broad would be stiff to be dropped.
He's in that bracket ......... one bad game he goes.
Prestia, Houli and Riewoldt will be back soon, so someone makes way.

Way to skirt the TV call...
LOL. Jesus mate. He was asked a direct question about life without Jack, Caddy would have had to have been absolutely horrific to not get a mention at that point.
Supporters like me?? You don't know me from a bar of soap pal. I am not a negative poster. Go read other things I have read before you jump to idiotic conclusions. Am I the only person who didnt think Caddy was special? No...
if you want to be condescending then knock yourself out but you are not doing yourself or your argument any favours.
Don't need to know you personally to know that you have no idea of any expectations within the four walls of Richmond. I'm lucky enough to have a family member working at the club and I can tell you the club is very happy with Caddy.
Do I think there is room for improvement ? Of course there is.
Are the supporter group expecting too much of him? I think so
I just love the supporters (not just yourself) who love to complain about non issues, when our football club is in the top 4 and have seriously taken steps in the right direction as a group this year.
Be happy pal, enjoy the ride
Go tigers
Soldo is as raw as an onion and sometimes he stinks like one...He really isn't. Pls rewatch the game and focus on him.
He is vital when we are playing the 2 ruck combo. Obviously Nank is the better all round player but Soldo will get better with more games. He's 3 wins from 5 games. Give him a chance.
LolSoldo is as raw as an onion and sometimes he stinks like one...
But he's our stinky raw onion!!!
