I thought Tom Brown was really impressive down back today. Hit some nice kicks, took a few intercept marks and got involved offensively.

easy to forget how inexperienced he is but hes developing very nicely.

Today just shows priority in next 2 drafts need to be mids. Looking forward to seeing Smillie in there soon. The current mids Taranto, Hopper, Ross etc are mostly stop gaps and filler until we can recruit good young mids.Some okay signs from a few kids today which is all this season is about.

Loved Seth Campbell's work today. Blight and Armstrong showed a bit as well. I'm less impressed with the senior players, especially Taranto and Hopper. The older fellas have to put in more than that.

How good did Armstrong look? Clunked his marks (does NOT double grab) and four scoring shots in game two. And his effort to have a possession at half back and then appear in the goal square in the same play … brilliant, just brilliant!

Blight showed great signs all over the ground in just game five. Campbell excellent.

Margin was eighty plus early in third - great fight to keep it to twelve goals.

Never been so happy after a twelve goal thrashing in my life.

Last year was the big midfielder draft, we had 8 top picks, and look what we did. picked faull early despite knowing there was a glut of talls that were going to fall down the order, then picked trainor, armstrong, sims and traded out.

truth is our list managers have decided that TT and hopper will play every game on their contracts and have probably seriously overrated dow and sonsie. they haven't realised how bad things are.

The signs from the kids were good enough for me. We created plenty of scoring chances, far better than last season where we had games like Brisbane/Dogs etc where we didn't look like scoring all game. The midfield got obliterated and that will happen a fair bit against teams that can run and spread.
