The NBA has 30 teams. NFL 32. MLB 30. NHL 32.

You'd expect some long ass droughts with that amount of teams.

In the little old AFL absolute statistical average is making a granny every 9 years. Apart from the utter ratshit most clubs can manage that every once in a while.

Not daddy though.

One thing I noticed pop up is, coaches were able to extract far more leeway later on if they delivered promising results early.

A prime example of this was Ron Gardenhire, who was a rookie manager at the Minnesota Twins the year they upset the Moneyball A’s in the 2002 AL Divisional Series.

He didn’t win a solitary post-season game after Year 3, but stayed in the role for a decade beyond, before copping a fruitless three year stint at the Detroit Tigers.

This marries with Hinkley’s fast start of 2013/14 giving him 5+ years worth of credits to pull a rabbit out of his arse in COVIDball.

Does he own the Four Seasons?

In addition to that, creepy Kenny manages to make finals in a contract year.

If anyone from the club with any influence is actually reading this forum then they're even bigger losers than I thought.
I've got news for you lol. I got screenshots of bigfooty sent to me via SMS once telling me off for talking about the shape some players were in during pre-season.

Tom Jonas once turned up at my front door and threatened to bash me for saying ken was fat.

When he arrived we weren’t far removed from Adam Thomson getting pushed around in a wheelbarrow!

How quickly you all forget.
