We will win the last 3 I reckon and give it a decent shake. We’ve been in a slump + injury but I think we are coming out of that now.

Caro knew well before August which probably means so did he, informally I guess, meaning the club and August is all for the ‘optics’.

True, but I honestly can't see anything less than losing every game for the rest of the season and falling out of the top four and losing the first final (if we even hold off on a new contract for that long), and thta's just probably not going to happen. I have us winning at least one more game this year and that'll just about seal it.

Koch basically said something will be announced this month this morning on 5AA. They don't want it hanging around and distracting during finals. Given that, you can read between the lines that they wouldn't be sacking him ahead of finals. He'll get an extension, and we'll be straight back into the Ken Hinkley sugar hit zone, with an out of the box piece of H&A form has scored him another extension, regardless of the finals results.
Its hard to take when you consider how banged up our team is. It clear Hinkley was coaching for a contract and to be in the best position possible in August and not coaching for end of season success. The Dixon and Lycett management highlights that.
When we flop out again in finals, and heaven forbid it is a straight sets flop, the supporter bases enthusiasm is going to be completely drained. You'd have to say as a supporter base, the enthusiasm levels are already at record lows since we entered the AFL, but geez, the next 2 years under Hinkley and a continually failing regime that offers no hope to us is going to be depressing.

Im kind of ok with it in a weird way. I've had enough and this will finally give me the impetus to pull the pin permanently. I have better things to spend that $600 or so dollars on. Basically these past two years I've spent $1200 on a membership I haven't used, under the misguided belief this shit stain will be gone at the end of the year. Oh well.
