The more Conway gets bullied the stronger he gets. And his follow up play is good. I'd keep him in over Stanley.

On top of that he scores better than Stanley in dream team every week.
English got bullied exactly the same until he put some size on, these games will do his development a world of good

Just watched the replay and Rohan was great, especially last quarter. He was a bit BP tonight-the silent achiever. It's not like for like, although he is harder at the ball, more seasoned than Ollie. However I think he'll get in ahead of Neale.
I'd never mock- big fan of the big red!
Yeah him not being a like for like with Henry is a feature not a bug

Apparently you're not meant to write BF posts & drive, so had to wait until I got home to share notes made by Krock

  • Dangerfield was going through a solo training session about 5pm on St Mary's oval. Lots of changing direction, acceleration etc could be good signs for next week
  • Kolodjashnij with a potential broken nose after taking a couple of hits to it during the match
  • Stewart seemingly unhappy with the doctors pulling him from the ground late in the match, after he received a head knock. Likely he'll be undergoing a HIA some stage over the next 12 hours
That Kolo hit is reportable

I think Rohan should be in the seniors ahead of Henry. I was mocked earlier in the year when I said I would have him best 22 over Henry but think after today people might remember how important Rohan was to us
Yep. Rohan contests hard to bring the ball to deck. Henry does not. Im not sure henry has a future unless he can find a new role. He is just too small and skinny for the role he is playing.

When we are on top we are as good as anyone but it's very clear that our midfield has spells where we simply lose control of the game. It's happened in many games this season, fortunately, we were good enough to overcome that this week but we haven't quite been good enough to do it against the good teams.
I think we're still trying to find the right mix in there, and are experimenting with a lot of different arrangements (old vs young, inside vs outside, This Guy vs That Guy, etc....)

I guess you have to accept that will lead to a bit of inconsistency in there.

Richmond started this game very well, but only because we let them. The story this year is simple. We just don't have a midfield anymore. Uncompetitive.

The development of the new kids in there is going to take time. I'd wager the MC would be trying to target a trade to bolster the coalface.

This current midfield will not be winning finals against the likes of Melbourne, Collingwood, WB, Sydney, Port etc

Look on the bright side. We're in the top 4 and if Danger, Blitz and CGuth can return to this midfield and build some form, there is so much room for improvement at the pointy end of the season.

Rohan and tuohy are not b22.

Agree about Rohan. Wait until Henry has some extra strength and experience. He's already good and he's absolutely going to be a gun.

Nah he's just messing with people.

After his press conferences, Scotty goes for a coffee with Hocking and poses the question,

"Which journo will be the first to talk up Chris Scott says X & Y are to be kept an eye on this week? 😉"

Then the two share a laugh over those who take him on his word

Our midfield performed better than they have for the past month. Best games in a while for Bowes, Atkins, Bruhn, and another good game for Holmes.

But Richmond are one of the few teams weaker on paper in that area than us. Need that group to be able to do it against the midfields like we’ve played the previous 4 weeks, and the midfields we’ll play in finals.

Danger and Guthrie back will definitely help. But in the meantime I want to see that quartet turn up next week against Sydney. If we can match them in the middle we’re half a chance.

Bowes made a strong case for himself not being put in a sub vest again.

29 Disposals, 9 Clearances, 8 Tackles, 636 metres gained and a goal.
He was made sub because he was poor against Gold Coast. A few of our midfielders were poor but they had to choose one.

I think they were sending him the message that if he wants to be a regular senior midfielder he can’t allow the opposition midfield to dominate like that. He can’t have noncompetitive games.

Looks like he got the message, but he has to keep it up.

He brushed off the medicos after the clash with SDKs head.

Not sure if it was a comment on here or on X, but they mentioned he should have accepted the stretcher on offer because him trying to walk off somewhat stuffed up their structure & we kicked a goal
